The Party There are artifacts. Young people with money used to change the shape of their eyes. They were Japanese like us, but they competed to have bigger eyes. They fashioned their eyes after musicians called pop stars who they listened to, danced to, and emulated. The girls and boys dyed their dark hair lighter. They had blond hair, red hair, green hair, and streaked hair at all the important parties. They wore make-up and glitter and stood wherever the light was best. They looked for good backgrounds for their artifacts, the films they made.
UnboxingThe children, as they always did, perched on the Stones for the Evening Telling. The Teller stood, face in white, Stick of Truths in his hands. When it was such, on the Teller could say stories and tell truths. All others were to stay silent unless called to respond. Even the Chief-In-The-Walls could not speak if he were in attendance, although tonight’s Telling was only for the children and Mums.

Look on My Works, Ye Mighty I know it’s been a long time since last I wrote, Nico. My apologies. What with recent developments, we’ve all been busy lately, dismantling the colony’s administration. Packing it all up like a briefcase. Doubtless you’ll have read about it; I don't trust the newspapers back home to offer an unbiased view of things, but they should at least give you a rough idea of the situation.

Thoughts on dASeems like I can't go a month without ranting about dA! But what can you do - between work, class and housework, dA has remained one of the small pleasures I have time for. And yet it often also brings me frustration, anger or bewilderment.

Trinity I find myself by circumstance at a loss. Bereft of words plentiful and meaningful enough to utter the praises that all of you so rightly deserve. I have but one opportunity to express just how much you have come to mean to me and why. The clock faces me, oblivious to my frustration while every tick serves to repeat the same reminder. You are running out of time, it says. You had best hurry if you want to meet this deadline.
My HeartShe never liked looking at her heart. It was a small, unshaped crystal with edges, where pieces had broken off ages ago. Time had made them blunt. There was no glow, no rainbow colours, only dull red, looking sallow on the outsides.
