The Scarecrow villian from Batman, as he appears in Arkham Asylum. Done with Pyogrophy(wood burning) over the course of likly 40 or more hours. Probably more.

Done with the spoon tip for those who know anything(or care) about pyogrophy.

The background was also the fastest and easiest part.

This is amazing! I love how it has this ripple effect, it's like he's got you with his fear gas!

Thank you, and I wasn't purposefully going for that effect but now that you point it out I'm rather fond of it.

Good stuff! The thing of course is to treat the larger burned/dark areas with a sense of sculpture to them...give them depth and you definately have.

Thank you, it was fun, even if I had issues keeping my pen cool when doing the really dark areas. Glad you like it.

Yup, I've taken to wearing gloves with one cetain pen I use.

lol, I tried that but I found I just couldn't get used to it. I'm way to tactile.

Looks excellent! Very intimidating. It still amazes me that you burned this into wood.

:) IT's fun to do, I just bought a bunch of wood that I can use this for one of which I want to do a rather large project with rather then several small ones. Becuase spending most of the year on one work seems like it'd be fun. :P

Well hey, I'm sure the end result will be worth it!

Indeed it would be. First I need to find something I know could keep my attention for that length of time.
