Normally, I don't waste my time on "dark arts" of this nature simply because they all look the same. However, even I, with my very picky and discerning taste, cannot ignore how incredibly beautiful and well done this piece is. Not only have you pushed the boundaries by creating a seemless image, you've made a non-believer like me into a believer.

Let's start off with the scene itself. It truly feels like every aspect of this piece was taken into consideration: the model, the background, the view through the window, the cobwebs, the chains, etc. The chains are probably one of the best parts of this piece. They really look as if they are following the flow of the dress; the lighting is absolutely spot on.

Funnily enough, I just now noticed that the floor is checkerboard, and normally that would bother me. It seems most people use a checkerboard floor in pieces where it simply does not correlate well enough with the overall concept. In this work, however, that floor is perfect. It is soft and subtle enough to indicate that it actually belongs there, like this was photographed on location.

Overall, I'd say you deserve every accolade you get for this piece. While there may be some out there who will disagree with me, I think this is one of the best dark art pieces I've seen on dA. Bravo. <3

I totally agree with `bitchinblack , except about the chains. I really really like this work, the blending, the details and especially the color.

I hope you don't mind but I'd like to give a critique about the chains (I don't remember the last time I gave critique :D ) The chains are really nice detail, they really look as if they are following the flow of the dress as `bitchinblack said but they don't look realistic to me (even if we ignore the fact that in reality something so heavy like the chains couldn't "float" like that in the air if they're attached to the bottom of the dress but this is manip so everything is possible), the chain doesn't look like it goes all around the dress, it looks like it's just attached to one side. For example, if you look at the first chain on top it's clearly visible that there are no more chain rings attached to the chain and continuing around the dress (I hope you understand what I'm trying to say)

Other than this, this work is one of the technically best and fav works I've seen lately. :)

i totaly understand your point of view about the chains, they must be heavy indeed, but that actually wasn't my intention, i wanted to show something like a dress done with chains, like it was some sort of dress style...i didn't want show her chained, but like it was part of her body...well, techniques are important though, that was a personal choice! thank you for comenting.

I thought you wanted to show her dress chained but if the chains are here like some sort of a dress style than everything's fine :aww:
