Chris Ings commissioned a 3D version of the Red Hunter. Originally created by Alex Iglesias
I started this design at the end of December 2017 and completed the commission at the end of March 2018. It was far more complex and detailed than I had initially thought. And the design itself proved to be an incredible challenge as I figured out each facet and shape to the mech. As I constructed it, each change I made to a new addition meant having to go back and modify previous work in order to get everything to fit just so. A bit of colloboration and a few emails, I was able to use some of Iglesias's other works to fill in the blanks that were hidden from the original 3/4 view.
It was almost as if the model itself took on a life of its own and fought me every step of the way. But in the end I managed to knock out this final piece.
