Battletech / MechWarrior Hellbringer Prime by lady-die Battletech / MechWarrior Hellbringer Prime by lady-die
Known in the Innersphere as the Loki, this 3050 era Omnimech is armed with 2x ER Particle Cannon, 3x ER Medium Lasers, Streak 6 Missile Launcher, twin machine guns, and for defense an anti-missile system mounted above the cockpit, and some anti-personnel pods on its legs.

I've built a collection of Omnimech pod weapons based on the style seen with my Timber Wolf, [link] and Mad Dog. [link] Since this is an omnimech, it also shares the arms of these two models. The legs of this model are also used on the heavier Summoner/Thor design.

I think it's interesting how few people realize that the Thor and Loki are just the Clan Omnimech versions of the Thunderbolt and Warhammer, respectively.

And the Vulture is a redesigned Archer. They just took it a bit further than the the other two.

Really like the CT you did on this.

One question ?

Your modeling skills are far better than this mech, do something that really goes hand in hand with your talent.........model the Axman !!!!

You're only saying that because you like the Axeman! LOL

Actually after I'd completed the Black Knight rebuild, I thought about making the Axeman or the Hatchetman. But by then I'd been burned out on BT builds. Plus someone else had already made one. At that time I didn't feel like building designs other people had already done.

What ever you decide on modeling next, I know it will be a goody :) Thanks again posting your works here. I really enjoy them.

Thanks! I too really like the designs from the first TRO: 3050 book. Though as far as this particular Omnimech goes, the electronics equipment is only useful with advance rules and its armor is too thin anytime else.

True, that's its only shortcoming in my book as well.

Nice, this was once my favourite mech (back in the days of MW2). The reused arm pods seem a bit too long and wide for the Loki, the rest is of the used quality :)

Had I thought about it, I'd have lowered the arms a little so they're closer to the body. As it is, I just sized the model to the approximate scale of my Timber Wolf and Mad Dog, then imported the parts and placed them on the model.

All of my extra parts have been built to scale with my TWolf design. The trick so far has been trying to size the rest of the omnimechs accordingly.
