Hi all I've got another poll / survey for you.

How would you describe my art to some one unfamiliar with me?  What do you associate my art with?  style? subject matter?

Ex: When someone mentions Goldenwolf  what comes to mind? Werewolves? color pencils and watercolors? Tribal motifs ?

So what do you think of for my art? Thanks for your help!!

Have you bought Anubis themed art before? (from anyone )

1) Yes and I identify as female

2) Yes and I identify as male

3) Yes and I identify as nonbinary

4) No, I'm not interested in Anubis products.
What sort of Customizable Adoptable should I offer next?

Buff Werewolf Male

Curvy Werewolf Female

Buff Anthro Cat Male

Curvy Anthro Cat Female

Thanks for your help!

I'm curious to see if my resent research is true about what people find interesting for print on demand tees. If you could link me or describe the type of shirt you've bought. Please don't include anything you might have bought from me :)

Thanks!

Okay having driver or something issues with the new Cintiq 16. I'm getting broken and gaps in lines and strokes in PS Cs2. But only that program. It works perfectly in Sai, PS 7, and Krita.  Help?

The day started off super early at around 8:30 when the tablet arrived. I was so excited. I cleaned up my work area, unistalled my Wacom, cleaned up the registry,  and while the computer rebooted I got the new tablet unpackaged and set up. The installation went fairly well, I calibrated it and then got to work playing around. Sadly the arm I bought won't work with my table the way I'd hoped it would, and the tablet itself just isn't up to the degree of quality I need. In the majority of videos I'd watched on the device everyone seemed exceptionally heavy handed. The use of line weight was there sort of, but no one was doing really detailed or fine lined stuff. I was concerned and kept researching. I found some one who's skill was high and their artwork more detailed. So I'd hoped it was a sign this would work for me. Unfortunately it seems that the tablet's pressure sensivity is just not what I'm used to after having a Wacom product. It just can't match the tapering ability and the easy flow from thin to thick in a progressive and smooth way.

It's been a very disapointing and painful day. I'll be returning the tablet and hopefully I'll be able to get the money back. I'm not sure what I'll do now honestly. I may just try to save up enough for the Cintiq 16. The size of the 22 really was huge and awkward even if it meant I had lots of drawing area. Without being able to use an arm it's not going to be a good fit with my set up. Mom wont' let me drill a hole in the wall for a wall mounted type. Can't really blame her there.

Unfortunately the Cintiq 16 doesn't have the side buttons, which was really a cool thing. It made erasing and zooming really easy. They do have the 'Express Key' panel but it's an additional $99. Wacom is king of line but they are also King of Over Charging for everything. :P

I'm going to wait until Monday before making any further decisions, to ensure I'll be getting the money back from the return and when the UPS store is open again.

I'll keep you all posted with what happens.

I've been accepted into the Amazon Merch program. I'll be allowed to slowly add content and soon my art will be available on T-shirts there. So please don't freak out if you see my art being sold there. It really is me! I'll provide links as soon as I've what I've uploaded has been approved. :)
Tablet Fund Question XPPen or Cintiq? Help!
Hey everyone!

I have a delema and I’m not sure what to do. So I’m asking for advice. My plan for the tablet had been to use my old Toshiba Protoge’  with the new tablet.

When I’d tried the Yiynova tablet several years ago  there had been a lot of problems with drivers and getting it to work.  Between the learning curve and the price I decided to return it.

It hadn’t occurred to me to try to test it out on my old computer. Well I spoke with the folks at Xp-Pen yesterday and because it’s still running Vista and because it is a tablet pc (even if I removed the drivers) it seems that it would still cause conflicts.

So my plan isn’t going to work, at least this aspect of it.

So I need to decide  this: Do I accept there is going to be a long learning curve and abandon the idea of having my Intuos as a back up and get the XP-pen for $500.

Or do I try to save the $2000 for the Cintiq?  which will work on my pc without me having to deal with driver conflicts with the Intuos.

I’ve been incredibly  grateful for all those who’ve donated and shared info about this fund raiser. Right now there is enough to get the XPen.

However I don’t believe we’d get to $2000 with just the final promised piece finished. (the Albinus art)

I can’t afford to put all my time and commission money into the tablet fund. I barely made January’s bills. (and technically I wouldn’t at all if not for Mom helping with medicines and food)

What do you all suggest I try doing? Would me doing commissions via Auctions be something you all are interested in?  with the auctions set at a higher than I normally charge for a piece? the extra going to my fund?

I welcome other suggestions and Ideas. Thanks so much!

UPDATE: The Sorcha image is now completed and has been emailed to everyone who's donated thus far. At the moment we've raised $685 from your donations and the  small royalty check I got for my how to videos. Thank you so very much! I figure I'll let the donation drive continue on until I've completed the 2nd image, which this is the first concept sketch design of. After I've completed coloring it and sent it out I'll take stock of if I should just the the XP-PEN Artist22E Pro 19  or continue to try to reach for the Cintiq.

If you donate at any point during my fundraiser you still get both images! So you won't miss out even if you can't donate right away!

Hello all!

Thanks for reading this.  I’ve been doing freelance art since the early 90’s. I love creating original art and doing commissions. In 2015 I started having incredibly painful joint issues. After seeing a bunch of doctors and specialists I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia.

Without getting into the nitty gritty it has severely impacted my ability to be creative and draw. I’m no longer able to work at the pace I once could. It’s been exceptionally devastating emotionally and financially.  I don’t want to give up on art as a hobby or as a profession. I also do not want to ask for help without giving anything back. So in exchange for your support I’m going to be creating two special images for those who donate to this fund raiser.

If we actually make it to the max funding, I’ll make the two images available for everyone on my web galleries at a smaller size. Folks who donate will get a copy at 300 dpi resolution suitable for printing without watermarks.

I’m looking at several models ranging from $500 (XP-PEN Artist22E Pro 19 inch) to a Wacom Cintiq 22 HD at $1,699.95 .  I’d be happy with the XP but it doesn’t play well with wacom drivers so it would be more complicated to use with my current set up. So I’m shooting for the moon as using the Cintiq would be easier. I am hoping using a pen display over my Intuos will make drawing easier and thus allow me to be more productive.

Thanks again to everyone who’s supported me over the years, and to those who  assist me in this endeavor.

On my bike ride with the dog today it occurred to me I need some outside perspective and insight. One of the things I really hate about not being able to do conventions any more is that I don't get to interact with other artists the same way. So I'm wondering if I'm getting a really skewed or unrealistic perspective of what's possible when I look at other artists online. So I'm hoping you all can help me out with this question!

Are you or do you know of an artist who does anthro / furry work, (that doesn't have to be their main fare though) who supports themselves solely through their art, but DOES NOT do NSFW (or adult / nudes of any sort) or comics ?   and does not have  a partner, spouse or relative or roommate that provides more than half of their income / food / housing and other resources?

I'm asking this because I'm wondering if I'm attempting to do something that just isn't feasible when you add in these specific constraints ( the nsfw content and no comics) .

I've seen plenty of artists who do the above and appear to be totally paying their way in life through their art, but I'm curious if it's possible without those aspects.

Thanks so much for your help!

Does any one use the 'Furry Art Multiuploder at multiupload.us/ ?

Is it safe? The amount of sites I'm trying to maintain is hitting critical load especially with Tumblr burning down.

It sure would be nice to only have to go through one interface to upload to all my sites. I could waste less time uploading and more time actually making art.
