quite a few of my linearts are from covers and artwork of manga's and anime, takes ages to draw them out from just looking but its great seeing the color versions!

shame i haven't colored most of them :(

she does it exactly the same as me.

1)sketch picture
2)after detail work, you ink it with waterproof drawing pens/manga pen. (or really darken with pencil but find that ink is better as its solid black after all and better for coloring under later)
3)erase the pencil lines you did and then to finish off, reink if lines are faded. (best to reink anyway to get lines perfectly solid)

thats it really, just takes a bit of time redrawing the pic over and over lol.

or you can always be gung-ho like i was with the baby gaara ad just draw it outright with pen lol

Oh okay, that's what I do (except I use sharpies), but it looked so smooth I thought she did it on a compy. Thanks for answering my question!

yea i sometimes use sharpies but only for block black (bit too thick sumtimes) we mostly use these "pilot" drawing pens size 5 which is perfect for outlining :D

Yeah, I use the ultra thin sharpies. Thye work pretty well, but they bleed a little.

oooh never knew they did ultra thin..might have to look out for them, makes it easier to fill block black bits :D
