Fireball by L1701E Fireball by L1701E
Hello! I thought I would offer up another one of my Local Hero creations. This one is one of the twin defenders of New York City. Say hello to Fireball!

Jackson "Jack" Kirke
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 145 lbs.
Age: 16
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: Brown
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Occupation: Student, adventurer
Marital Status: Single
Relatives: Jonathan Kirke (Father), Padma Aghdashloo-Kirke (Mother), Thomas "Tom" Kirke/Gravitar (Older Brother), Jillian "Jill" Kirke/Frostbite (Twin Sister), Simone Kirke (Younger sister)

Skills: Jack is a speed reader. He is also skilled in aikido and karate. He is also a talented artist, and he wants to be a cartoonist one day.

Powers: Jack is a pyrokinetic, able to create and manipulate fire. He can shoot flames at a distance of up to 500 feet. He can put out flames hot enough to melt lead, but the hotter the flame, the more effort it takes him to make it. His metahuman DNA makes his body immune to the effects of fire and smoke. He can also fly.

He has a telepathic link with his fraternal twin sister Jill, aka the heroine Frostbite. The two can use the link to privately communicate, and they can also use the link to find each other.

Personality: Unusual for fire manipulators, Jack is a calm, level-headed type. He's a geek and a bookworm at heart. He is a polite and slightly sensitive kid, open and friendly. He can be a snarker, but he mainly shows that side when he's speaking to his sister. Like Jill, he is pained over the fall to madness of his older brother Tom, who became the delusional Gravitar.

Bio: Born and raised in New York City, Jack is the third child (He was born two minutes after Jill) of two British immigrants, a doctor named Jonathan Kirk and a scientist named Padma. The Kirke family lived the good life, but they were also a family dedicated to helping others and giving back. Jack Kirke, in contrast to his athletic and hotheaded sister Jill, grew to be a quiet, thoughtful bookworm.

At the age of 16, Jack and Jill manifested their metahuman powers. Amusingly, the hot-headed Jill gained ice abilities, and the cooler, laid-back Jack gained fire abilities. Previously, their elder brother Tom manifested gravity-manipulation abilities in a car accident. The trauma from the accident and his powers manifesting, combined with a brain injury, led him to believe that he was the king of a new race of gods destined to rule the earth.

Not long after the twins manifested their own metahuman abilities, Tom returned, donning a suit of armor and calling himself Gravitar. Gravitar tried to get Jack and Jill to join him in his campaign of world domination, but the two refused and tried to get him to get some help. Sadly, it degenerated into a fight, the twins having to use their powers to fight him off. The incident inspired the two to take up the life of the superhero and stop their mad brother.

Really? You think it's that bad? I know I'm no Picasso, but I do try.

I looked on your page and I noticed that you have no drawings or artwork of yours in your gallery. Why is that? Are you ashamed? You shouldn't be. There are lots of people here who can provide tips to help you improve.

Ah, finally a superhero of half-Persian descent. We need more heroes.

That came about accidentally, to be honest. I intended to be half-Indian, naming their mother after actress Shoreh Aghdashloo. However, I learned the actress was actually Iranian, so I decided to have the Kirke twins' mother be of Indian and Iranian ancestry.

I also did it because I didn't know of any heroes with Iranian heritage, so I thought it'd be something cool to see.

And Fireball is not alone. He has his twin sister Frostbite, too.
