Panda 3 by L-Spiro Panda 3 by L-Spiro
51 weeks later, Panda 3 is done (except for some minor details I will patch later). Good thing no one was waiting on this.
This scan is really bad; it picks up the white way too much and really grits the drawing. I will try to get a better scan within the next 2 weeks.

This is Panda, a 24-year-old friend of mine here in Bangkok. She is wearing a panda headband, because her name is Panda, and it’s cute, like her.

With the background drawn, her left shoulder is now defined, changing her expression entirely from all previous releases. She was never just standing there smiling. She was doing a cute little shrug.

It took so long because I simply hate drawing. I had to force myself to sit and draw every time and I could only do it so many times before just quitting. I took a few months off from this one and finally decided to just finish it last week.

I will never subject myself to this kind of torture again.

No smudging has been used in any part of this drawing.

I really love the softness you've achieved here, and the way you did the hair!

This doesn't look like a drawing. This looks like you took desaturated a photo, turned up the contrast, and put a texture on it.

The scanner is to blame for that over-grainy texture. Check my scraps to see it how it looks on paper.
Unfortunately, those shots are not the completed drawing. The only scan I could get of the completed image was this one.
Reason: During the scraps phase I was using the office scanner since quality did not matter.
For the final product I went to FedEx and paid money, believing I would get higher quality.
To be honest, I should have just stuck with the office scanner, but now that I no longer live in that country that is no longer an option.

I thank you for your disbelief.

In your scraps I see more pictures that could have easily been done in Photoshop. [link] This looks like you took the original image and erased parts of it to make it look like a WIP.

Ironically you pointed at the other image that was scanned by the same FedEx scanner as Panda 3, which is even explained in that WIP shot.
This just proves the validity of Panda 3, since there is no way to refute the validity of Japanese Model WIP 1.
I am at the office now but I have 33 WIP shots of Japanese Model WIP 1 that make refuting its validity 100% impossible. If this really becomes a serious issue I can put them all in the scraps when I get home.

But I am not really concerned with nay-sayers, since I know personally for a fact that everything in my gallery was drawn, by hand (including the digital ones, all of which started as paper drawings), by me.

People such as yourself and :iconbohobella: come and go, but what is annoying is that you two have supposedly reported my images as being stolen.
I don’t particularly appreciate having deviantArt take down my images for no reason.

I haven't reported you at all. She is the one who showed me your gallery but I haven't reported a single image. Please don't hold me responsible for what other people do.

They won't take down your images for no reason, they'll take them down if they are stolen or categorized wrong (AKA, putting a photoshopped picture in the drawings gallery.) If what you say is true then you have nothing to worry about. ;)

I can prove the validity of every drawing, except J+L because I mailed that to the guy who commissioned it.
I am not so worried about being able to prove things, but worried because I don’t know deviantArt’s policy on images that have been reported.
For all I know they are just going to storm in and start putting up banners saying things were removed for being “stolen” and even if just for one day people who see these things are going to forever brand me unfairly.

If anything gets moved I should be able to prove afterwards that I did it, but by then I have already lost trust in the view of the public.
Sigh.
