EDIT: Video Tutorial on Drawing Dragons www.youtube.com/watch?v=VrHZ5F… and www.youtube.com/watch?v=6HXEa2…

So...I wasn't getting sleepy when I was supposed to be getting sleepy...I had been planning to make these in December so I went ahead and did one. This is my basic dragon one. I will make another that's deeper, into the bone structure and muscles...that one will also include the way a dragon moves, running, jumping, climbing, swimming, etc.

A separate one will be made for wings and how a dragon would fly. Might as well put all this useless knowledge in my head to use I suppose. I do hope this is useful, if it help just one person...I have done my job.

Proof that Dragons are NOT Dinosaurs!

Dinosaurs are lightweight agile Creatures that Carry their bodies and tails high off the ground.

True ( or "Western") Dragons are heavily built and usually drag the tail.

Dinosaurs do not have more than four limbs. (Not even those with Ribcage-based Wings)

Dragons usually have four legs and two, fully limbic wings! (I am, Intentionally, omitting Wyverns, Ampithere, Asian "Dragons" and various multi- wing hybrids).

Dragons have, in recent years, undergone a kind of "Standardization" of basic morphology. This began with the Dazzling Work of Michael Whelan with his Gorgeous depictions of Anne McCaffrey's Pernese Dragons! Before this time, Western Dragons were a good deal more Lizard-like!

Asian Dragons were only called Dragons by western explorers! But, they are "Celestial" / "Spiritual" Beings commonly depicted as a predominantly reptilian mix of all animals. Thusly, they are "Deities" and NOT "Magical Animals"! Portraying Them as animals or "Ditsy Cats" is insulting to Asian Culture and Spiritual beliefs!

Finally, Dinosaurs can never be called "Dragons" except as jest or allegory. Otherwise, Avialae, which are Maniraptorae of Tenanura of Coelurosauria MUST Also Be called "Dragons"!

Thank You for giving us THIS glorious template!
