Wow, the first thing that I can say is...wow! I've been very occupied with other business over the past year or so, and haven't been on DA for a while now. When I logged in today and saw that Seaflower was DD'd, my jaw dropped.
Thank you very much to DragonWinter for featuring it, and to everyone for their kind comments and support. I truly appreciate it!I'm slowly going through the galleries I once did and still do admire and many more, and am constantly floored by the technical talent and artistic beauty of it all...thanks so much for being a wonderful source of inspiration, everyone. :heart:

I'm curious, how many of you guys enjoy reading and/or writing as much as drawing or creating visual arts?I find that it is extremely helpful in laying out powerful thoughts and feelings- or simply for siphoning creativity into words.
I find that my abstract ideas come out as pictures; conversely, concrete thoughts fit better into words.Unrelated: I love DA's new face! It'll take some time to get used to it, but I know I'll like it even more when that happens.

I've been up in Boston/Cambridge for a while now (since the 23rd). It's awesomely busy in a good way...work hard play hard, I guess. Since classes only started today (the 8th), it's actually been mostly the play hard part thus far.
