The name's Nick. I'm a video game programmer, artist, and occasionally writer. You'll probably have guessed, assuming you've looked in my gallery and faves, that I like squirrels. You couldn't be more wrong. I LOVE squirrels! If it is not a squirrel, I don't say things like "Awwwww, it's a squirrel!" SHOW ME CUTE SQUIRRELS!
Anywho, I'm always open for commissions, and willing to negotiate. I can do anything from sketches, digital art, photo manipulation, 3D sprites/character models (can't use the source though since I've nothing to export into a useful format) and small flash animations.

Pausing troubles....

I just don't get it! I went ahead and made the pause screen using the same exact script I used in all my other games, yet for some reason, it keeps making the previous room persistent, but I'm telling it to make it not. For those who don't use GM or have no idea about programming, when a room is persistent, it doesn't reset when you leave it. This is necessary when using another room as the pause screen, but it needs to be set back the way it was before so that things that need to go back to the start, say when you die, will do so.

I've been thinking, and it seems MTS is a little bland in the items department. I was thinking I could add some kind of bonus item that could be collected, y'know like coins and rings or something. Something shiny that will, although not add much to the gameplay itself, will still make the levels seem more full, and I could also include maybe points or something. What do you guys think? Wanna add some collectible items?
BTW, I gots a peanut butter craving.
