Is There Life on Mars?

Sun Mar 28, 2010, 3:31 PM
Greetings Martians,

In an effort to evaluate how much progress I've made on my story, and to validate the continued use of my free time for such creative activity, I routinely compile and format my blog entries into pages and perform a word count. It also comes in handy if I want to print off a hard copy to really see how much substance my first book will have; if I want to impress other, non-writer friends; or if I want to stop bullets. I missed a crucial opportunity to tabulate last month on the 2 year anniversary of the blog, but this its ok that I waited for something a little more impressive.

I'VE WRITTEN OVER 100,000 WORDS!!

That's all really, I think I explained enough. Now I need to buy 2 more ink cartridges and a couple hundred pieces of paper before I can ostentatiously flop my manuscript on the counter when I order my next latte.

Sincerely,
The Earthling

23rd Birthday and 10,000 Hits

w00t.

Content? Yes, ironically-fitting text-box prompt, I am quite content. Discovered I've reached 10,000 page views, whether thats actually an achievement after 6 years, I don't know; but it's a nice round number. Today is my 23rd birthday, starting to feel older, but it's going to be a good day I also just happily paid for a premium account again, so now I have more power...and you can sit on my page for hours just watching the planets scroll by, so what's not to love?

I know what I'm doing for the next week.

That's right, I've returned to the red deserts of Mars from my most daring trip across space to my home planet yet. What insanities occurred daily? What kind tomfoolery took place? I've recorded details of the eventful vacation in my log, free for you to access at any time, along with a few pics I snapped along the way to Earth. Please, give them a quick review and let me know if you digg them.

I'll try to update the tlog as regularly as possible, it will be easy to do from the road, but I won't be making much art over the next few months. Now's a great a time as any to catch up from the beginning of the story! - K.Lane" »»

I'm no longer mirroring my story on dA, too many discrepancies versus the final edited forms and a lack of customization compels me to invite you to:

Moving Soon - Still Searching

I've set my sights on Art Institute in Santa Ana for my Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design, should be pretty helpful in setting groundwork for my enterprise and giving me some real hands-on experience in design and using this tablet PC to its fullest potential. I will be moving to Costa Mesa within the next month and a half, and hopefully I'll be settled in my new place by my 21st birthday, if not soon afterwards.

I'm still searching for my muse, where ever you may be. I know you're out there somewhere, beautiful as ever, just waiting for me to wander by and be taken by surprise in your majesty...or maybe you're looking for the artist that will release your beauty like a flood gate, pouring out and drowning the world in all you have to offer and more. I cant wait to be neck deep in that glorious pool of inspiration, and soon we'll be as close as opposing magnets, pulled together from even the greatest distance and stuck in metalic ecstacy.

Until we find each other, I'll keep my eyes peeled for you if you promise to do the same for me.

Looking for fellow arists and any muses in OC area

Its about that time I need a strong aesthetic mind to reassure me and fill my head with bountiful ideas, and by my personal model and canvas would be close a necesary after the other bits, but we can of course blow up that bridge when we come to it, i still need a muse, any muse, in the meantime

Its all ive been working on the past 2 years or so, and I'm glad I can finally show you what has been consuming me. Pardon shakey cameras and blurred shots with the flash too close, Ive yet to get the method for photoing paintings down, but I'm getting there, I truly hope you enjoy.

anyone in SoCal, particularly OC, I'd like to get in contact with you for arts sake

A Tale of Technical Difficulty

So about a month ago I realized that none of the paintings that I've done in the past year and a half have really been displayed on my page, and id really like you guys to see them cause Im fumbling across amazing results, but ive got a problem. For some reason about a year ago my old dig camera decided to die on me and refuse to acknowledge it's existence as a picture taking device. similarly distressing is my new dig video camera's ability to lose her charger. But as soon as I have a friend with a decent camera, or work some voodoo magic on either of my devices, I will be able to astound you bitches with my fine art. haha!!

But the same applies, anyone in SoCal, particularly OC, I'd like to get in connection with you. Hit me up!

It's like every site these days offers you some sort of journal. As if I didn't have enough things to check every 5 minutes online, I don't need a journal on some art site that nobody will even read anyway. So if you do happen across the journal button, and are actually interested in the going ons of my life, then click this button and suffer my LiveJournal.

And while I'm in the mood of posting links, I'm going to make you visit my webcomic, Public School Sucks Nuts, as if there weren't enough links to it already.
