Crap, I miss everything. I knew you were there sunday because I saw a picture of you as Imp Midna with Wolf Link taken at the hotel side that day. Also I missed the japanese arcade games. :(

2x2" fatigue floor foam squares, model magic, floral wire, craptons of large glue sticks, craft foam sheets, foam padding, black acrylic paint base, with 2 colors of dark and medium grey spray paint, silver spray paint and silver flake paint for the 'snake'. I used a wood burning tool to make the sunken details. I probably should have worn a face mask while doing it though. I used elmers to seal the whole thing before painting, and a hand saw to even out the layered pieces. The front and crown are both 3 foam pads thick, so getting them even to each other was important. I used worbla, but probalby didn't need to.

The high temp heat gun I used got the glue hot enough to melt the foam, to basically make sure that it cooled securely. I used hot glue to smooth out some of the edges on top, just let it drip on and melt the foam into a smooth surface. There's probably a better way to do that XD.

Oh, wow! a wood burning tools for the details sounds like that was a great idea! The details/patterns on it were really fantastic, I probably would've used a hot glue gun to try to burn em in. :) Just curious, did it get heavy? :XD: It looked a little bulky.
I know myself my majora's mask with hat was a little heavy. :XD:

It actually didn't end up being 'that bad' for weight. the main problem was making sure it was stable. That sucker is stuffed full of foam, but I wanted to avoid adding a chin strap. I can bounce around in it, and as long as I don't make too many sudden moves, it stays on.

I was able to wear it most of the day Saturday with no neck issues :) It probably helps that it's large, the weight is spread out a bit.

Ah, yeah well it is fairly large, So I can see how'd you kind of have to balance it on your head. :XD:
