I saw this similar scene from Shahab Alizadeh and I really liked it, so made few sketches, because I didn't wanted to copy it. This composition felt like a best choice and because I read the Fall of the Númenor book right now, the backstory was born.
This scene illustrate a visiting Eldar fleet ariving from Avallónë in Valinor on Númenor, the home of Edain. On the sky you can Gil-Orestel, also known as the Star of Eärendil, the Silmaril saved by Beren and Lúthien (it's also name of the book I finished reading recently).

Man, I absolutely love Lord of the Rings! My family and I can't get enough of it. Tolkien's work is truly a masterpiece. Awesome landscape by the way!
