Hi hi (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)! I've been a fan of yours for a few years atp and you've been a huge inspiration to me, especially in my recent works (granted, I don't post here much anymore). I truly do believe your work is lovely.
You've also taught me a surprisingly large amount of prehistoric species
that I simply never would've learned about thanks to your pieces.
If it wouldn’t be too much to ask, would you mind telling me how you learned to model backgrounds/environments and such? While I know how to make/rig low poly models somewhat decently, I haven’t really dabbled much in making them do anything aside kinda just "floating" in the void, so if you do decide to help, it'd mean so, so much!
Anywho, thanks for reading this if you did and have a great day!
Hi. sorry i haven't seen this comment until now.
my background techniques would be difficult to explain bacause it differs from piece to piece. There i a lot i picked up across the years about lighting, composition, post processing and storytelling through my 'career' a s a 3d artist. I make 99% of my own background assets too which makes the whole thing difficult to replicate for a beginner, but not impossible.
Best advice i can give in a single comment is to imagine my renders as being similar to photographing little diorama scenes or puppets in a puppet show. You want to convey idea of who your characters are, where the are located, what the are interacting with, how they are posed and how the scene should be lit and coloured to convey a mood. once you have that idea in mind: making or buying the assets or finding the right tutorials to help you complete your task should be much easier
Kind regards and thanks for being a fan, Kuzim
Ah, now I see why some comments have just random series of numbers, it's because they were also trying to type emoticons
