Kosode Kimono Design Template

Well, I've been interested in designing kimono lately, so I decided to create some design templates for a few kimono. This one is for a kosode. Kosode usually take the form of yukata and komon for women. This is also the pattern used for men's kimono.

Hello!
Would it be ok if I use the template to display my kimono designs? I'd credit you of course ^^

You are amazing! I can clearly see what's going on with the design. Is it ok if I use it for my personal use? I'm trying to envision a specific design and how it falls on the fabric. Regardless, you broke it down amazingly!

Love your work - you are so talented!

May I use your templates to make graphics to resell? Thank you!

Thank you! I would appreciate if you didn't use these to create things for resale. These were meant mostly as resources for people in my kimono club.

Thank you - I understand!

Do you know how much fabric this design takes?

Do you mean to sew? Approximately 12 meters on a Japanese bolt (about 14 - 15" wide). Probably 5 meters on a western bolt.

Oh thank you, I was going to design a Haori/Hakama combination or a Kimono and sew it myself and this helps alot. It tells me how the kimono should look and how it should be closed. :meow:

Neat, I can understand the pattern a bit better now then in other tutorials

Thanks! If I can get some time in the near future, I'm actually trying to put together a kimono making tutorial. The authentic pattern will be included in the tutorial.

Ah that'd be awesome it's really hard to find a nice tutorial x.o
