My Bio

I practice art like I practice life – always in a hurry to see how much I can experience in what little time I have left on this planet. I'm probably older than your mother, 4th generation Japanese American (yonsei) hapa living in tornado magnet Oklahoma. I have two generally well behaved children and a hubby who lets me do as I please (as long as dinner makes it to the table most of the time). I enjoy drawing and painting the most, photography the least (but trying to appreciate it more these days!).

Beginning to Look a Lot Like...

It is just about Christmas time, again. I think we've made the decision to stay home, just in case the world ends on the 21st of December, I guess. I'd rather be on Kauai for the fourth time this year, but someone needs to strangle the folks who want to charge two grand for one ticket to get there during school break. Jerks...big jerks. Anyway, I've been doing a lot of watercolor painting lately, and now I'm getting that bug to put some more photos up. Just need some time...I do have a photo I am quite fond of, taken during a golf course breakfast on Kauai. I love to feed wild birds out of my hand (yeah, no need to write and complain...

Getting Older...but still cool!

You know you are getting older when your little girl asks you to set her up with her own DA gallery, and you agree she is the right age.Today we went to Just Another Hole in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Kim the co-owner piercer angel pierced my daughter's ears (she just turned 10) and re-pierced 2 ancient holes in my ear and my nose. My first nose piercing several years ago was 1) really painful, 2) really brutal and 3) a major pain in the ass. It took forever to heal and when it did I had to remove it for a minor surgical procedure. That was the end of that misery. The stud never went back in.But misery loves company, so now I have 2 mo...
