Y'know, this account is like some kind of very boring zombie. Every time it looks dead, it suddenly lurches back to life and shuffles around slowly, showing the bare minimum of activity, drooling and... wait, let me start this over.

I don't really have any solid or terribly interesting excuses for not being very active here, I guess. "Busy" is pretty generic. "Lazy" is likely another factor. The first few months of 2014 were pretty rocky for me. I guess this is all a long and boring way of saying "I'm sorry, and thank you for all the birthday wishes it looked like I was ignoring because I'm a jerkface."

SO! I've been busy. With what? Well, Sonic the Hedgehog #260 will be out next month, so I guess you'll get an idea if you check that out. Yeeep.

...Okay, fine, I guess I can go into some detail. I'm the writer for some of the upcoming backup stories in the next few issues. The talented :iconevanstanley: will be providing the pencils. Also, :iconchibi-jen-hen:, who worked with me on Off-Panel, will be doing the lead!

Man, this is hard to talk about. I'm honestly pretty nervous about it. I've been doing a lot of small/behind-the-scenes work at Archie for a while now (design stuff, Off-Panel stuff, ...stuff), but this is much more... prominent? In fact, I think my initial reaction to seeing the solicit come out with my name very visibly listed incited a reaction consisting mostly of a lot of panicked swearing. Heh. It was kind of an interesting experience in that the rough concepts for the plot were already there, and so I was working with some set targets instead of writing something completely from scratch, but hey... I hope people like it.

Soooo yeah. That's what I've been up to. I think I'll try to post some photos shortly.

:iconslider-chan: is doing commissions to raise money for donation to the Philippines, where the recent hurricane claimed over five thousand lives. Check out the details here:…
Looks like I suddenly have people paying attention to me... how terrifying. I guess I should see if I still know how to draw, then. >____>

Yeah, have I ever mentioned that I'm not much of a journal-keeping type?

I just feel like I've been so busy lately! Between work and trying to move to a new place and other stuff, I think I'm falling out of practice when it comes to drawing. Aside from little things like concept sketches, I haven't really done anything in a long time -- I've typically been busy colouring stuff for other people. Maybe I'll have some stuff along that line to post soon, but for now I guess I'll mostly be uploading the occasional photo. It's not like photography is an oversaturated category or anything. ;P
Haha, well, I did mention a "secret" a bit ago. I didn't want to make a big deal out of it (I was actually pretty surprised that anyone recognized my name before I said anything), but now I guess it's public knowledge for those who have the latest issues of Sonic the Hedgehog/Sonic Universe, so, yeah... I've been colouring the Off-Panel strips. =D Yeah, it's nothing huge, but I've been trying at this for a bit now and it's a foot in the door... I don't know if I'd be able to keep up with a full issue like the awesome Matt Herms does, but I'd like to try colouring a cover one day. Might be able to let loose a bit more with something like that. But yeah, there ya go.
Nope, this has nothing to do with cake or lies involving cake.

Eesh, I gotta empty out my watchlist, got a huge backlog of stuff here...

Anyway, I've been pretty busy lately. I had started a picture a couple of months ago but... well, kinda forgot about it among other things. Other... secret things. That I guess won't be too secret soon enough. Heh.
~Commissions are open!~…

So... the laptop tablet refuses to read pressure and my good ol' Wacom tablet just dropped dead. I suppose it had a good run... guess it's time to go shopping. I've had this one for so long, I really don't know what else is available now. XD
~Commissions are open!~…

SO... I haven't done any real drawing in a while now, largely because I've been without my tablet (paper? pencil? what're those?). But I guess I don't have that excuse anymore... since IanFlynnBKC got me a tablet laptop for Christmas. =P

Hope you had a good one~
~Commissions are open!~…

I haven't been very active on DA for a bit, largely thanks to the fact that I could barely access the site for quite a while; in short, pages wouldn't load like 95% of the time, so it was tiresome to even attempt to view anything here. Apparently this issue only affected users in Ontario and Quebec but has been resolved by now, so... yay?

I've got a lot to clear on my watchlist, at any rate...
~Commissions are open!~…

Yeah, not much of a journal person. =P

Summer's awesome, but a bit busy. Still tossing around that contest idea, so I hope there are still people interested out there. Also, to those who gave me llama badge thingies; I'm still not quite sure what that's all about, but I'll say thanks anyway.
~~Commissions are OPEN.… ~~

Been tossing this idea around for a little bit... would anyone be interested should I run a little art contest? The prizes would essentially be art requests, but I thought the right theme would be fun in and of itself... of course, this all hinges on people actually being interested in participating. So... would anyone be interested? I'm not taking this as an ironclad agreement of participation if you say or anything, just wanna see what kinda response there'd be. ^^

It's already February. For some reason I thought winter would drag on this year, but it's actually going by pretty quickly. Of course, the fact that I'm currently in an area that doesn't see much snow if any might be affecting that perception... my birthday's later this month, too. It's kinda funny how people seem to go from looking forward to birthdays, to dreading them, to forgetting about them altogether. =P
Yep, I'm offering these again.

if you have something you'd like coloured (assuming it's yours/you have the artist's permission), contact me and we can work something out. I can do digital inking in addition to colouring.

Some stuff to keep in mind...
- general human(oid) characters (anthros, reploids, elves, etc.) are probably my better subjects, and I work best with natural backgrounds. Depending on the subject I’ll be willing to give it a shot/discuss it, but I’m not going to pretend I’ve got strengths everywhere.
- no porn/hentai/excessive violence/vore/inflation/etc.. Undetailed nudity and slight blood are okay.
- I have the right to refuse any commission.
- payments via paypal, cheque or cash are accepted. In the case of the latter I recommend well-concealing it within the envelope.
- payments are in US dollars.
- I will not start an image before receiving payment.
- no redos. If you like I will send you an image preview so any changes can be made before completion.
- all images are in digital format. If you like I will send you a high-resolution copy suitable for printing.
- all images will be drawn and coloured in my own style. Some details are negotiable but if you want another artist’s style, well… you should probably be contacting them instead of me.
- I try to focus on being meticulous over being fast. However, that's not to say commissions don't get priority.
- if you have any questions at all, feel free to ask.

Now, if I haven't scared you off and you're interested, send me a note. Thank you!
Firstly, Happy Late Canada Day! I wanted to post yesterday but for once I actually went to sleep when tired. >>

were all, like, plotting in secret with Ian for our anniversary.
YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME. Thank you so much!
This Sunday is our first anniversary. It's hard to believe the wedding was a year ago already! @_@
Got any fans of the Tales series here? I hope so, because Summoning of Spirits, which has been in the works for a very, very long time, is finally complete!

For those who haven't visited it before, OverClocked ReMix is a website dedicated to providing high-quality fan-made arrangements of video game music. Summoning of Spirits is an official OCR album project covering Namco-Bandai's Tales of Phantasia and Tales of Symphonia.

It features four discs of music (plus bonus tracks) containing over fifty tracks by over thirty-five artists. Popular tracks like Fatalize, Forest of the Treant and of course Fighting of the Spirit are among those covered, plus three tracks from Dawn of the New World.

Everything can be downloaded for free at the official site via zips, torrents or individual files.

Digg It!…

This is a huge fan project that's been several years in the making, so I hope you all enjoy it!
  • Listening to: SoS of course!
Hope everyone had a nice Valentines. Sadly I didn't get to draw anything in theme, so I guess that picture of my silly kitty'll have to do.

Now that we're halfway through Feb, my birthday's comin up. I'm gettin sick of winter, even though the last few days have been fairly warm.

As an aside, if anyone still hasn't heard and is seeing odd comments on DA telling them to click whatever offered nonsense... for the sake of all that is holy, don't. If you have, change your password. If you have comments like it on your page, hide the damn things so others don't go poking at them.
Apparently it's been about six months since my wedding. When did THAT happen?…

I'm sorry for the lack of activity here. I've just been - well, busy. Lots of projects going on. One of them is hopefully near its conclusion, and I'm looking forward to getting it out there. If you're a fan of Namco's Tales series, this should catch your interest...

Safe and happy holidays, people!
I'm so worn out. It still doesn't feel like summer yet... I guess the wedding stuff sorta eclipsed all that. But the weather's literally all over the place and I want to do more summery stuff!

Technically I was at a beach yesterday, and dipped my toes in the water, but it was like ice, and I was only passing by anyway. XD

I never finished my beach-themed pictures, now that I think about it.

:iconvanilla-wicked: is doing commissions to pay for her puppy's vet visit. Why not go take a look?

I might be offering commissions again soon... I was kinda wondering if I should do one of those contests, too. I think all I'd be able to offer as prizes would be more pics, and I don't know what kind of theme or anything to go for, but it was an idea... other people seem to have fun with that kinda thing.

I want my SUMMER man!
We're back from BC! It was awesome. The scenery here seems too... flat, I guess, now. =P

As usual, I know most people come here for the drawn stuff but since I took several hundred photos out west, I hope you don't mind me posting a few. ;P

I'm finally getting around to clearing out my messages here - 700+ deviations and 650+ messages is a tad much. >> Sorry if I miss anything!
