I awoke this morning at 6:16am with a dream's message. For the past few weeks I have been toying with the idea of of presenting a few pieces to the Gothenburg Street Photo Festival, in Scandinavia. I don't know how I came to learn of it, but I have wanted to exhibit out of the USA, to a more international audience. I have many documentary street images to choose from, but I hadn't selected any as of then. In my epiphany dream (coincidentally happening on Easter Monday), I remembered one of my self portraits taken while in school when I was 20 years old. I documented my basement apartment in Athens, Ohio, where I was finishing up my Fine Arts Degree at Ohio University. In those days, as now, I was interested in the simplistic purity within images, so it was a logical step to appear nude in my surroundings. I had forgotten about this image, but while continuously organizing my photo file cabinet, it had made itself known. All my life I have been taking historical images. I
