Sunlight shone down upon Nora's face as a new day was starting. Her body began to twitch as a dream filled her mind and woke with a loud yip. She began to pant as she moved her way beneath a tree to lay down and relax. The same nightmare that haunted her dreams as a pup started to come back to her after over a year. Nora has been plagued by dreams if her mothers death and her fathers confession. She longed to see her mother alive and well in her dreams, but she would only see her mother drowning in the rapids she had fallen into. When she had calmed down she stood to shake herself as if she were shaking off her memories.
A steady breeze began to blow and to her luck she was downwind- the wind carried the scent of rabbit and something else she had not yet recognized. She was too focused on tracking down her breakfast to worry about other scents that the wind carried. Her hunt had just begun.

Alcatraz was trotting over the foothills of a large mountain range, his pale amber eyes scanning the jagged land he was soon to enter. Alcatraz loved the mountains. They were beautiful, majestic, and they made him feel at home, since his old pack had lived near mountains. The land grew rocky as he began to ascend from the foothills and into the mountains at large. He looked up at where the mountains, now quite close, towered over him. Such a grand sight... but it made him slightly dizzy so he dropped his gaze down and continued on his way. As long as he kept heading up, he knew there would be more than enough views to appreciate.

The soft grass beneath his feet gave way to a more rocky padding and he leaped up a couple of boulders to make his way between two large mountains where the land was full of boulders and it was ascending steadily. The foliage around him grew sparse, and up ahead of him he saw the path that would lead him up the mountain valley, where hopefully he could find ways to get to the top of one of the mountains. Although he had lived near mountains all his life, Alcatraz had never been to the top of one, and that was something he wished to do in this range.

KumihoHime said the following:

Nora began to lightly stalk towards the direction of the rabbit that she had smelled. Within moments the rabbit has been spotted nibbling at the grass. She drew closer to it and careful to not brush  any of the dead leaves on the grassy floor. Using all the power she had in her legs she made a long leap nearly landing on top of the rabbit and she gave chase. She quickly caught up to it and bit down on it's neck for the killing blow. Thank you for your life.

She made her way back towards the foot of the mountain where she felt safe and to eat her kill. As Nora headed up the slopes she caught a scent of something. Wolf. And it was leading towards the mountains. Before heading after him she found a nearby puddle of mud and rolled herself thoroughly to disguise her scent. She quickly, but cautiously followed the scent out of curiosity. Bringing the rabbit wasn't the best move she had made, but an idea was forming into her head as she weaved through the bracken and into the rocky area. She caught sight of the wolf leaping from boulder to boulder, his muscles rippling beneath his brown pelt. There wasn't much foliage that Nora could hide behind for her plan and would be spotted easily if she tried to walk any farther up. She looked around desperately and found a group of more boulders bunched together.

Swiftly and quietly she made her way to the boulders and crawled between them to get closer to the newcomer. Her eyes sparkled with playfulness as he drew closer to her. She gathered a rock with her paws and nudged it out into the opening hoping to draw out his curiosity. Nora turned to dart through the rocks, but ended up hitting her left shoulder clumsily and let out an "oof!" and dropped the rabbit. Without wasting anymore time she picked the rabbit back up letting the rabbits blood drip to the dusty floor to create a trail for him to follow. She made her way to a bush to hide beneath to wait and see if he would follow the rabbits blood trail. Beneath the bush Nora waited patiently and cursed herself for being bird-brained.

----------

Wildfire-Tama said the following:

Alcatraz was making his way up the boulders, mostly focusing on the path before him and not really giving much mind to his surroundings. A silly move, usually, but it had been a long time since Alcatraz had been in the mountains, and he was enjoying himself greatly.

But something drew him out of his tunnel vision as movement flashed in the corner of his eyes. He froze, watching a rock clatter loudly down the boulders and stop before his paws. He narrowed his eyes thoughtfully, glancing up at where the rock had come from. What had dislodged it? Then a soft "oof" made his ears perk forward and he frowned suspiciously. Was there someone there?

Much more alert, Alcatraz made his way for where he had heard the sound, up by some boulders. He scrambled his way on top and leaped down the other side. It smelled wet... yet there were no puddles around. But there was another scent that was much more pungent... blood. His eyes flicked to the ground, where a droplet of blood stained the cold ground. He dipped his head down, his sand-baked yellow eyes flicking around him, and sniffed the drop. Rabbit blood. This was all very strange... he looked ahead of him and saw more droplets.

Alcatraz was quite confident in his fighting abilities, so when something pricked at his curiosity he always acted upon it, fearing nothing. And so he followed the trail at a careful trot, his eyes constantly flicking around and his nose taking in the air for scents that may explain such odd occurrences. The trail was leading him toward a bush, he saw. He lifted his large head and considered it before moving forward. Was there an injured rabbit hiding within, or a rabbit killer? Either way, he was sure he could handle it. He approached cautiously.

----------

KumihoHime said the following:

Nora watched silently as the brown wolf eyed the bush she was hiding beneath and began to approach her cautiously. She had his attention. Now, she thought. She launched herself out of the bush and landed crouched a couple tail lengths in front of him before standing tall. Her chin was lifted as she held her catch, her fiery eyes meeting the males eyes with a sort of invitation for him to follow her. She held her gaze as she turned her back to him and without waiting for a reply she shot forward to a nearby gorse bush. Slipping gracefully through a tunnel in the bush she padded up to a pool of water and placed the dead rabbit gently on the floor.

She would soon see if this wolf was a danger to her or just happened to be passing by. The rabbit was left as an experiment to see how the wolf will approach it and handle this situation. It has been too long since she had played with another wolf and even had contact with one. Now she will test him. She slid her paws delicately into the water as some of the mud began to wash off. With one last glance at the tunnel she had came from she dived into the pool before she could be seen leaving behind a cloud of mud.

Swimming beneath the mountain wall she let out a small gasp for air as she resurfaced. There is a small overhang from where she got out of the water that she decided to use so that she could look through the gaps to watch the outside. Nora swallowed nervously waiting for the brown wolf to approach. She ignored the pangs of hunger in her belly. I cannot have this rabbit. I need to see what kind of wolf this is for my own safety. I wonder what kind of wolf he is and if he'll be able to find me. She thought to herself as she made herself comfortable.

----------

Wildfire-Tama said the following:

Alcatraz recoiled with fur bristling as the female leaped out at him. He stared at her in shock... this was not at all what he was expecting. The she-wolf was smaller than him, with various shades of gray and a frosting of white on several parts of her well muscled but sleek body. Her flaring amber eyes met his with a quiet challenge, staring up at him with confidence and mischief...

He opened his mouth to stammer out a polite greeting to this strange female, but before he even had time to find the words, the mischievous female slipped away.

Alcatraz blinked, confused. He supposed he had nothing to do now except follow her. He had trouble making his way through the tunnel, for his thick fur atop his large body brushed the prickly branches. He cursed softly as he got caught half way through. Using his power, he tore away and pushed out of the tunnel to the other side. He glared back at the tunnel, tufts of dark fur stuck in the branches, and bits of branches tangled within his thick fur. He shook off, pulling the branches out of his fur. At least it was not winter, or he would never have gotten through.

He turned back to see a small lake bordered by a sheer ledge before him... and nothing else. The rabbit lay on the ground by the pond.  He looked around in confusion... where could the female have gone? He lowered his head to sniff the ground and saw the well worn paw prints... that disappeared into the water. He furrowed his brow as he stared into the water, seeing a cloud of mud... did she... dive into the water? He looked uncertainly at the rabbit, then at the water. Why would she leave it? Was she afraid that he would too easily be able to find her if she brought the rabbit? Did she think he was after her prey and just wanted him to leave her alone? Well... he would not eat prey that he did not kill himself, he was too proud for that. But to leave it here? He did not like wasting food either. He would have to try and return it to her, and explain that he meant no harm.

He picked up the rabbit in his jaws. Surely a little dip would not take away from the prey's sustenance. He looked uncertainly at the water... so she really had jumped into the water? Where else could she have gone? He shrugged his shoulders, then breathed in deeply through his nose, and dove.

Alcatraz opened his pale yellow eyes, looking around under the clear mountain water. It was cold enough to take his breath away and he had to struggle not to gasp. He looked around, seeing a hole on the bottom of the sheer wall. That must be where she went. He swam back to the surface. Now that he knew where he was going, he would have to try in order to return the prey to the female. He dropped the rabbit into the water, took a deep breath, grabbed the rabbit again, and dove, pushing off the side of the pool and aiming for the hole.

He swam strongly with his large paws and his eyes narrowed, the freezing water stinging them... soon he was under the wall. He was beginning to get quite nervous. What if she had gone somewhere else? What if this hole lead to nowhere and he would get stuck and drown? Panic grabbed his limbs, causing him to swim even stronger and more frantically. Soon he saw the shifting surface of the water above him and he swam desperately for it. Finally his dark head broke the surface and he took a huge breath, dropping the rabbit. He gasped for breath, his eyes looking around as he struggled to find a place to get out of the water. He saw the overhang and grabbed the rabbit, swimming for it and scrambling on top. He crouched down as soon as he was on dry land and dropped the sodden rabbit beside him, catching his breath. He did not see Nora yet, so occupied he was with calming down, recovering from the shock of the cold mountain water, and regaining his breath.

----------

KumihoHime said the following:

Nora's ears perked as she saw the bushes tremble and the wolf appeared. She giggled lightly as she watched his fur get caught half way before pulling himself free and out of there. She could only imagine how it would be for him during winter time with a thicker coat.

She then watched as he sniffed the ground and looked into the water. So, he's noticed the mud cloud in the water. What will you do next, wolf? She continued to watch as he picked the rabbit up with delicacy, her jaws parting slightly, Is he leaving already? I guess it was the rabbit that won his- SPLASH! Her eyes widened as he dove into the pool of water. He actually did it! She watched as he resurfaced and drew in a stronger breath before diving once more. Now she had to wait and not very long. 3, 2, 1..Gasp! She turned and watched him from below as he swam towards the foot of the overhang. He crouched beside the soaked rabbit and seemed to not notice her just yet.

Nora didn't move from where she sat and watched him as he regained his breath and steadied himself. He is definitely strong, he was able to make the swim despite the freezing water. He was also smart, confident, and brave leaping into the water risking his life not knowing what was on the other side or if it lead to a dead end. What an interesting wolf. Drawing in a breathe to keep her excitement in she stood up and walked gracefully down the overhang. "Congratulations, wolf, you have found me. I did not think any wolf would see through my trick; you are the first." She glanced at the rabbit and looked back at him, "Not only that, but you have brought the rabbit. Most wolves would take the prey and run...But you...You are something else. What is your name? I am called Nora." She stood in front of the brown wolf, but made sure to give him enough space.

----------

Wildfire-Tama said the following:

Alcatraz finally began to regain his breath, his sand-baked yellow eyes beginning to adjust to the dim light. He glanced around slowly, still panting slightly.

Then Nora spoke and Alacatraz's head shot up. She was trotting down toward him from a high overhang. "Oh... there you are." he panted between breaths. He took one last deep breath, trying to regain himself, and rose to his paws. He did not shake off his pelt, letting the icy water slide off his thick coat and form a puddle on the rocky ground below.

Clearing his throat and ruffling his thick chest fur, Alcatraz spoke in a formal tone. "Yes, it is your rabbit. It would be wrong to take it from you." he explained.

He dipped his head politely as she introduced herself. "Pleasure, Nora. My name is Alcatraz." he lifted his head back up to look at her. It surely was that female from before. While her colors were less vibrant, her eyes glowed like amber moons in the shadows of the cave.

----------

KumihoHime said the following:

Nora dipped her head in response. "Alcatraz...It's nice to meet another wolf. It has been far too long and I've been growing bored." She plopped her fluffy butt on the cold floor and tilted her head. "What are you doing around these parts? I noticed you were headed up a mountain trail. Were you trying to get to the other side? I'm sure there is an easier way for that."

"Oh and thank you for returning the rabbit," She poked her prey with her nose and amusement lit her eyes, "a soggy rabbit, but it will do." Holding the rabbit down with one paw she ripped its flesh and pushed the prey towards Alcatraz, "You should have some, think of it as part of your reward for making it this far." She hungrily gulped her piece and rubbed her right ear with her paw trying to get rid of the remaining water. Her fur was beginning to dry out, but not as quickly as she would like. She gave herself a quick shake trying not to splash Alcatraz, but sent a few drops his way with an apologetic expression. Her fur fluffed up making her look like a pine cone and she gave herself a few embarrassing licks in an attempt to flatten her pelt.

----------

Wildfire-Tama said the following:

Alcatraz listened to her and shrugged his large shoulders. "Getting across was not important to me." he said. "I wanted to climb to the top." he said simply.

Alcatraz looked down at the sodden rabbit as she passed it to her. He considered it a moment... should he take it? He didn't want to, but how strong those pangs of hunger hit his belly as he recovered from such an energy-zapping dip. He dipped his head subtly, trying to make it seem as if he chose to eat the rabbit, and not because he needed it.

Alcatraz looked at her as she shook off her fur, some spraying toward him. He reacted by closing one eye as water splashed toward him. He did not mind much, though, since his pelt was completely sodden, but he made no moves to try and dry it. He enjoyed the feeling of the water streaming from his thick pelt. Nora's fur puffed up like a pine cone and she rapidly began to lick it down, looking embarrassed. Cute. He thought to himself, not being able to stop the small smile of amusement that lifted the corners of his lips.

---------

KumihoHime said the following:

Nora stopped mid-lick as he took a bite of the rabbit and then watched her. Feeling hot under her pelt she stood up and took a few paces towards a light that shone down from the ceiling and onto the sun-baked floor. She gestured with her tail for him to follow, "You should come lay beneath the sun to dry unless you want to stink up the whole cave with your wet smell," she said teasingly as she trotted away, her tail flicking. She lay down onto the warm floor looking up through the ceiling at the blue and cloudless sky. Today is a good day.

She turned her head to face his direction, "What interest do you have in going to the top of the mountain? There is nothing up there. Or at least nothing much where that path leads. But you aren't from around here are you? You'd know that if you were." Without waiting for a response she looked back up through the gap in the ceiling with a distant look in her eyes and her ears very slightly drooping, You know...I'm not from around here either..."

----------

Wildfire-Tama said the following:

Alcatraz narrowed his eyes at her, slightly insulted. But he swallowed his pride. That had gotten him in far too much trouble lately. He rose to his paws and shook his fur. He was happy she had padded over to the sunlight streaming through the ceiling or else she really would have been quite wet by the water that flew from him. Then he stalked over to her and sat back on his haunches, letting the sunlight seep into his dark fur. He would dry off in no time with how dark his fur was.

He flicked his ear at her as she asked about why he would want to travel up there. "I'm not looking for much." he told her. He watched as she said she was not from here either. Her ears fell down slightly and Alcatraz felt that she wanted to elaborate. He was curious as well... he liked hearing the stories of others. "Where are you from, then? You must have been here a while... you seem to know where you are going around here." he said, his voice quiet. Alcatraz more often than not spoke softly, trusting that his deep voice will be heard.

----------

KumihoHime said the following:

Nora's gaze softened as it raked his pelt when lowered her head. He was a handsome looking wolf with a dark brown pelt and soft highlights. "I'm from a forest a long way away from here from the north-east. I left because I couldn't stay there...not any longer...." She swung her head and shrunk away as if trying to hide from her memories. She has never spoken to a stranger about her past, then again, he wasn't much of a stranger to her now. "Something happened between my father and I, he...he told me something horrible." Her fur began to stand as she thought about her past. Her mother would still be here if her father wasn't a foolish wolf. Watching her mother drown when she was just a pup had traumatized her.

She drew a breath to steady herself. "I travel around these mountains because they remind me of my first home which was also near a mountain. Other than that, I haven't traveled any further and I have been here for a while now. It's been quite lonely and I'm enjoying your company. Where are you from if you don't mind my asking." She was curious about this wolf, she had never seen him around these parts before.

----------

Wildfire-Tama said the following:

Alcatraz watched her silently as she told her story, blinking his pale yellow eyes gently. She seemed quite upset... her past troubled her deeply even now, he could tell. He was quiet as he listened to her. "I see..." he did not know what it could have been that her father told her, but he did not want to push her more. She was being open enough, he thought. Being too nosy would only hurt their relationship... and he was surprised he was actually liking the female. Rarely did he make friends. And he did not want to ruin it now. "I'm sorry... "

Alcatraz let out a breath as she said she enjoyed his company and she had been lonely, the small smile remaining on his muzzle through pale eyes narrowed calmly. "I am honored to be of service to you." was his response. Perhaps more formal than one would expect from a wolf you were expecting to be your friend.

He shrugged his large shoulder. "I lived... in a pack far to the north. On the other side of the northern mountains. In the steppes." he did not elaborate much on his back story. He tried not to, unless directly asked. He had also come to these mountains for the same reason, for the sake of his memories. He wanted to climb to the top, see the views that he once loved, that his father had shown him a pup, that he had explored with his childhood friend Gabbitrix. The freedom he had felt, almost as if he was soaring far above the plight of the world below. That was why he had come.

----------

KumihoHime said the following:

Nora blinked gratefully towards this wolf as he did not push her into telling him her history just yet. Perhaps when she has grown more comfortable around him and got to know him better she would share her full story. But until then she wished to speak little of it.

"You are from the steppes huh? What a plain biome," she said playfully before getting to her paws. She rounded on him with a mischievous and seductive glint in her eyes, "I think I could show you a view that you might appreciate. Follow me, I assure you that you will not regret what you will see." She tried to sound seductive to tease him and give him a dirty thought yet make it sound like she could mean something else entirely to confuse him and draw out his curiosity. Her tail ran beneath his chin as she circled him and padded towards the tunnel to the right that lead upwards. "Are you interested in climbing any higher?" she asked as she looked back at him with an amused expression.

----------

Wildfire-Tama said the following:

Alcatraz gave her an annoyed look as she made the joke. He was not a very humorous wolf, but despite how it may seem, he was also amused. "Yes... quite so." he said dryly.

Alcatraz drew back his head uncomfortably as she got that seductive glint in her eyes, telling him of this view he would certainly enjoy. "Uh..." Alcatraz was flustered, unsure what to do. He was a male wolf, so of course he had his urges. But this quickly? What if she was going to seduce him just to murder him or some sick trick like that. He was surely not so quick to trust. Still... perhaps she did not mean it in that way, despite her clear body language and tone of voice. Either way, he had made it this far. He ought to see what she had to show him.

He nodded once as she asked if he wanted to go higher. That was why he was here. He wanted to get to the top. He cleared his throat, lifted his head in a dignified way, as if to show to her that he was no simple wolf who would fall for any old trick. He blinked uncomfortably as she drew her tail under his chin, gulping a bit before shaking his head to clear it, his confident and collected expression back, and he followed her.

----------

KumihoHime said the following:

This was a wolf she could get use to. "Follow me. This tunnel will take us higher and bring us to an opening. Once we are out watch your step, there is a strong river up ahead and the floor can be slippery. The last thing we need is one of us to fall in." She led the way up through the tunnel signaling him to watch his head as the ceiling was not very high. When they reached the top she moved out of the way for Alcatraz to get through, she shivered at the thought of a wolf falling into the rapid flowing river. "I prefer to avoid rivers, streams are much nicer. And the reason that I don't like rivers is that, well...my mother fell into some rapids and drowned." She growled as she went on, "If it weren't for my father she would still be alive. So I'm cautious when I am near rivers. You can follow from behind me, but if you try to push me in and you'll only find yourself in water in my place and rolling off of a cliff."

She tried to appear strong and confident to show that she's not easy to catch off-guard and pushed around. She did her best to bluff her strength and be a tough she-wolf by puffing out her chest and walking confidently. But her legs started to shake due to the river being nearby. Nora did not want to end up like her mother, if she were to die one day she would prefer it to be in a different way. Until Nora and Alcatraz would leave the room she refused to make eye contact with him because of how small she felt in this area, she needed to have some pride for herself- if he looked into her eyes he would be able to see the uncertainty and discomfort she felt. Appearing weak was the least thing she wanted.

----------

Wildfire-Tama said the following:

Alcatraz nodded as he followed her, but did not verbally respond. He glanced at the river, frowning as he looked at the raging rapids. Yes... it certainly would be a perilous situation if one were to fall into the river. He watched his step very carefully and followed closely behind Nora, being prepared to catch himself or her if one should slip. Although he had a feeling that Nora would be just fine without his help.

He looked at her as she admitted that her mother had drown in a river. And she bitterly blamed her father. Alcatraz lowered his ears. How could her father be responsible for the death? "Did he push her?" Alcatraz asked, perhaps a little boldly, but he could not think of any other reason that the he-wolf would be to blame. Sometimes stuff just happened... and often no one is to blame.

Alcatraz was insulted when she accused him of thinking of pushing her. What a dirty act! "I'd never-!" he snapped his jaws shut and glared away into the water before he could go on. Getting angry was something he had to try not to do as often. Especially since Nora did not know him... for all she knew he could be a wolf like that. He just had to trust that in time she would learn of his strong moral code, and respect him appropriately.

Nora was trying to appear confident as she lead the way, but the shaking of her slender limbs made it clear to the dark wolf that she was pretty uneasy in this place. He didn't say anything, though. She had already explained her fears to him, so there was nothing else to say about it. And any further conversation would just distract them more, and make it more likely for one of them to fall.

----------

KumihoHime said the following:

Nora lead him into the direction that the river was flowing and replied, "My parent's got into a sort of fight," she explained, "It was just my parents and I first, my siblings were too weak to make it through the winter. My mother and father wanted to start a pack of their own and had me before they recruited another she-wolf. That dirty she-wolf was seducing my father and hoped to become his mate and become alpha even though he already had a mate. I still remember the look of hunger for power in her eyes...Anyways, Mother caught them alone with their heads resting against each other as if they were in love. I didn't tell mother, but whenever she was not around us the she-wolf would wrap herself around my father. She was especially furious when she saw that no wolf kept an eye on me. But the shock from seeing her mate in love with another she-wolf broke her." She paused when she noticed her voice shaking and swallowed. "She took me and ran blindly towards the rapids, my father close behind. Mother put me down and Father began to walk towards her claiming he wanted to apologize. But as he kept walking towards her and even when he stopped she kept backing up getting closer and closer to the river until-" suddenly she broke off as she slid ungracefully.

The shoulder she had bumped into the rock earlier was weakened and made that leg buckle causing her to fall. She stumbled into a crouched position and let her body lay against the wet floor. Her ears drew back and her tail tucked, "She fell into the river and was gone." Nora turned to look at Alcatraz with eyes filled with anguish. "I apologize for accusing you of doing such a horrid act, I was blinded by the frustration I feel towards my father and I unjustifiably blamed you of something you would never do."

----------

Wildfire-Tama said the following:

Alcatraz listened attentively. What a terrible story... Nora's poor mother! Alcatraz didn't like her father either. What a rotten thing to do! His tail tip was twitching as he wished for a way to give that wolf a piece of his mind, or fangs, for breaking the sacred vows of mate-hood and torturing a poor she-wolf to the point of death.

He was snapped back to reality as the rock crumbled around Nora and the she-wolf began to slide on the wet rock. "Nora!" he gasped, leaping forward to help her. But she crouched low, stopping herself from falling without his help. He dug his claws into the rock as he stopped before her, his muscles tense, and then their eyes met as she turned toward him. Poor Nora's amber eyes were full of anguish and despair. He could not respond to her apology in any way other than with understanding and compassion, even if in a normal situation he may act smug. "I-it's okay. I see you, and your past. Given how recently we met, you have every right not to trust me." It was unfair that he was so easily offended, anyway... he didn't trust anyone! Yet he somehow expected others to know how righteous he was? Alcatraz was only just starting to realize that.

----------

KumihoHime said the following:

Nora's only response was a brief nod as she carefully stood herself up. "It might be silly of me, but I feel that I can trust you. I may not know you well, but you give off a sense of security. Somehow you make me feel...safe." She gradually picked up her pace and lead Alcatraz to another opening where the river seemed to disappear.

Her eyes narrowed as the rays of sunshine washed over her face. The sound of tweeting birds could be heard below hidden in the trees. The cliff she stood on had patches of grass along with a blackberry bush that she liked to snack on. Next to her was the river they had followed that flowed off of the edge spraying mist through the air making it hard to distinguish what exactly the waterfall fell into. The clouds that surrounded some parts of the mountain didn't help either. The summit is yearly covered in snow, they were really high up. Nora stood tall and closed her eyes as the breeze stirred her pelt.

Her eyes still closed as her jaws parted to speak, "I wouldn't miss this view for the world. I come up here as often as I can, it is a sight to behold. Don't you think?"

----------

Wildfire-Tama said the following:

Alcatraz smiled softly at her as she said that she trusted him and he made her feel safe. He had not heard such personal words spoken to him since before the disaster that wiped out over half his childhood pack. He could not help the swelling in his cold heart.

She quickly got to her paws and continued, then turned into an opening. Alcatraz followed her carefully, casting one last glance at the river before continuing after her.

He blinked in the sudden sunlight, having to squint to protect his eyes after being in that cave for so long. But through his half-closed eyes he could see an amazing sight. He struggled to open his eyes fully, even if it hurt at first. His jaws parted slightly as he finally was able to look properly. It was an amazing sight. They were within the clouds as they raced past, occasionally breaking to expose the amazing sight below. The mountains towered to either side of them, painted with snow. They were so vast... so unbelievable massive... Alcatraz was completely captivated. And the land below... so green and dynamic. How different it looked from up here! And the wild rivers that tore through the forest, shimmering ribbons weaving their way through the dappled green expanse.

Their perch was quite an interesting place too... sweet smell of berries hung in the air and the once menacing river now fell off the ledge in a curtain of glittering blue. He didn't look at Nora as she spoke, so enticed he was with the distant horizon... "It... sure is." he breathed.

----------

KumihoHime said the following:

Nora watched Alcatraz as he neared and became drawn by the stunning view of the landscape. He didn't seem to notice her looking at him. It was only mid-day and she realized that he might already have plans for the rest of the day. She shifted her paws and leaned into him slightly so that he would hear her as she spoke. She tilted her head as she gazed up at him with an unreadable expression, "What will you do now that you have found your view? Where will you go?" Although it would have been nice to have company, she knew very well that she should not try to influence his decisions and create a difficult situation. What ever choice he would make she would respect and within this small world it wasn't impossible to run into each other again.

----------

Wildfire-Tama said the following:

Alcatraz felt Nora's fur brush softly against him and he tore his eyes from the view to look at the smaller gray she-wolf. She asked him what his plans were now.... he supposed he didn't have any. He shrugged. "Dunno. Probably stick around the mountains for a few days... then keep heading east, I suppose." he said. He didn't have much of a plan right now. He almost never did. He was just a wanderer.

----------

KumihoHime said the following:

So he is a wanderer after-all. Not that loners were not known for wandering around, but it made sense to her as to why she had never seen him before. She gave herself a shake and waved her tail back and forth, "I'll take you back outside the entrance and then you can be on your way, come!" She said cheerfully and bounded away being careful to stick close to the wall as they re-entered the river room and then traveled back down the tunnel and into the main cavern. Stopping at the pool of water she looked back with an innocent grin, "I hope you don't mind one last swim before you leave."

Wildfire-Tama said the following:

Alcatraz was surprised at the tinge of sadness he felt when she said she would lead him away. He had enjoyed his short time with the female, and that she had shown him her world meant a lot to him... it was so beautiful here. He wanted to known more.

But you would never see Alcatraz asking any favors, so he bowed his head and followed her as she lead the way out into the main cavern. He shuttered as he thought that he would have to dive in after the female. That water was freezing.... but he did not hesitate, plunging straight in. That was the best way to do it. Just get it over with. He swam strongly for the hole and swam for the surface, much calmer now that he knew where he was going. He leaped onto the shore, not shaking off his fur. He would let the sun dry him on his journeys and in the meantime enjoy the streaming water flow through his pelt.

He turned to Nora. "Well, thank you. You have a beautiful home." he said to her in a formal voice. It felt odd to him, leaving so soon after she had told him something very personal about her life, and sown him so much of her home... but he was a lone wolf, a wanderer, not meant to stay in any one place, or with any one wolf, for too long. At least, that is what his mind told him.

KumihoHime said the following:

Nora let out a yip as she caught sight of Alcatraz emerging from the water and leaping onto the shore beside her. She braced herself for water to rain on her, but it didn't come. He looked as if he enjoyed the water streaming down his dark coat, but then again who wouldn't in this heat! He then looked down at her and spoke in a formal voice, thanking her and saying that she had a beautiful home. "It's not just my home, it's our home. It's a home for any wolf to rest their head in peace when they need it," she had corrected him. "I don't particularly have a den of my own. I rotate around the area. Maybe one day I'll be brave like you and explore farther."

Nora faced her body towards him with her tail still waging, "Thank you for being patient with me and for being a good friend." She tip-toed and touched his nose with hers, "I won't forget you and maybe one day our paths will cross once again, Alcatraz." There was an unfamiliar ache in her heart as she wished him a safe and well journey. She would miss him, but she had faith that one day they would meet again.

Nora plunged into the water feeling the cold swallow her body. She broke the surface with a small gasp, holding her breath was  no problem because she had grown accustomed to it, but she could never get used to the freezing water. After paddling her way to the shore she gave herself a shake before Alcatraz would get in the way of the droplets. Her paws tingled and she felt as if she could run all the way to the sun and back. She watched the pool waiting for her friend to surface.

Wildfire-Tama said the following:

Alcatraz smiled softly at her lovely philosophy. He had a similar one... everywhere was his home. But he always liked to be respectful of the fact that he was sharing his home with the world. He let out a short laugh as she called him brave and made her comment, "Yes... there are many things to see. I recommend it." he said, "and if you ever do, let out a howl. Maybe I'll be in the area." he gave her a small smile.

"Nor I you, Nora." he said softly, reaching down to touch noses with her, her pale yellow eyes gentle as they met her amber ones. "Fare well." With one last swish of his tail, the dark male squeezed through the thorn tunnel... an easier task than before with his fur slicked back and wet. He turned and made his way up the rocks where he had been when he first met Nora. Her scent still hung faintly in the air here and he smiled a bit. She had shown him something wonderful, and for that he would always be grateful. "Maybe one day our paths will cross once again, Alcatraz..." her last words echoed through his ears. He found himself hoping so.

You ran through the thick brush of the forest, you clothes torn up and your body covered in dirt. You ran into a dark cave it was cold and wet in there. You plopped down onto your butt and lean back. You felt something warm and it made you fall asleep quickly. When you woke to the rising morning sun you looked at what you were sleeping on. It was a arm, a big muscular arm, you froze you slept on a titan. You covered your mouth and scooted out the cave. You saw the titan wake from the morning rays of the sun. The titans green glowing eyes fixed on you. You felt your whole body froze, you couldn’t move a muscle. -T-this is the end for me

"Okay __, your turn." Silver said as you stepped up to the hat. You reach in and grabbed the item on the bottom. You pulled it up and saw in your hands a blue necklace. As soon as you pulled it up, Amy's face went cold. Suddenly you felt a gut of wind push you into the closet and close the door. "Hey ___. Looks like its you and me." you looked at the blue hero and smiled. "I guess I did." You said. "Well, what do you wanna do for the next seven mintues." You looked at him puzzled as he leaned on a wall. "Um, well I don't really know." You didn't want to say it straight or sound blunt. But you did know what you wanted to do. Kiss duh.

It didn't feel right to be in this world. Everything that life threw at you was never anything great. For the past six months, it felt like Hell. You were failing in school, your boyfriend recently broke up with you, and people were bullying you to their satisfaction. It began to make you very, very depressed. Summary: Nora sees Alcatraz begin to head up the mountain and successfully lures him away and he follows her. She hides and observes him through gaps in the mountains wall. Alcatraz figures out where Nora is hiding and enters the cave by swimming beneath the mountain wall (the only way in and out [for now]). The two wolves meet and share a little of their background before Nora leads up up a tunnel that leads to a room with a strong river. They keep walking in the direction that the river flows and come to an opening to the outside world. Now they stood on a cliff with a waterfall and they enjoy the scenery for a while before leaving the mountain. They say their good-byes, hoping to run into each other again soon enough.

I hope you guys enjoyed reading this rp between Wildfire-Tama and I! Sorry it's so long. XD If you don't want to read it all check out the summary. I figured it would be convenient for some of you. :)
I'm going to draw a scene from this rp :) And here are pictures of the cavern: kumihohime.deviantart.com/art/… to help!
