Kuleshov Evgeny Alexandrovich (03/02/1987)
Born and raised in Petrozavodsk, Republic of Karelia.
Since childhood, he was fond of drawing and graphics. Prior to his career as an artist, Evgeny worked for several years with tombstones, which left an imprint on his first works. At some point, according to the artist, he was "tired of painting dead faces" and, having decided to change his profile, he began to study the history of fine art, independently find educational and lecture materials, biographies and works of artists from the Middle Ages to modern digital art.
In 2014, at the beginning of his creative career, he worked on photo manipulations in the horror genre. Most of his work and sketches are presented at https://www.deviantart.com/moppaa/gallery. At the moment, he does not consider it necessary to publish early works, as outdated and imperfect from his point of view.
Eugene dabbled in the traditional genre, photography, arts and crafts, and eventually chose to work with the Adobe Photoshop editor as the most convenient and modern tool for working with color and shapes.
Being in continuous search, mixing techniques and genres, he came to a unique and recognizable style in his work, calling it "carefully thought out improvisation" is now working in this direction. The seemingly chaos of color and detail is actually well-thought-out paintings with links to various plots. In almost every work of his for 2020-2021, there is a theme with Adam, Eve and the Serpent, as well as some other biblical parables.
The artist's paintings are often difficult to perceive, they contain many metaphors, references, riddles and require the viewer to look thoughtfully into the labyrinths of broken perspective.
The artist can be supported both morally and financially - in all cases he will be grateful for the attention to his works, which can be confidently called a new genre in the visual arts.
