Training

Heh by GinSasori

Everyone starts their life little inexperienced, and for that we have training. Be it training for the future, to withstand certain things, learning to fight or protect, it all needs to start from somewhere.

This section explains the pivoting points of Kukuris lives which they need (and get) training for. While some of these are mandatory to unlock certain parts of the activities for your Kukuri (BTT for breeding, for example), some are optional and only give you bonuses.

HOW TO TRAIN

Each training section has a list of prompts you can choose from. Read carefully what each prompt contains and what are it's requirements! Be also to make sure to read how many of these prompts is required to finish the training. If you desire to do more than required amount for lore reasons, for example, you are free to do so.

You can choose any of the prompts of the training type in any order your desire! Create your own training route to fulfill your Kukuri's lore! However, you cannot mix two types of trainings - for example BTT and Wild BTT cannot still be mixed, but they do have some prompts appearing in both of them.
You cannot use one prompt twice in one training.

You may bulk train Kukus, meaning that there are multiple Kukus in one picture! The max accepted amount is 3 Kukus/one training unless the training specifies otherwise. All kukus trained in the image must fill the minimum requirements! In literature, each additional trained Kuku adds 700 words per trained Kuku to the original count.

DO NOT POST TRAINING IMAGES TO THE IMPORT YOURSELF.

Instead, post them in the Training completion.
An admin will confirm your training and put it in the import.

Can a handler still ride on the back of a Kukuri if it does not have heavy load training?

for Retrieval Training it says
This is training revolves around learning to pull heavy man-made items, and as such fits for kukuris with
 handlers.

With handlers, does it mean your kuku HAS to have a handler to do this? So only kukus that have handlers can do this and wild kukus cant do it?

Heavy load training can be done only with handlers involved, but the kukuri can be wild to do it. It just have to tolerate the handler long enough to finish the training ´v`/ Handler doesn't need to be canonically handling the kukuri, if you don't want it.

Heya!
I know for the BTT you have to draw at least one picture by yourself, but is it allowed to do a collab then?
For example I do the sketch and shading but a friend does the lines, colo and background, would it count?

The rest of the training can be made as collab, but atleast one entry must be fully done by the kuku's owner ´v`

okay, so doesn't even count if just the lineart of the kukus is made by a friend? ;v;

Hi !!
When I do HLTin prompt like this:
III - Hard Terrain
Be it mud, snow, ice, mountainside or swampy area, sometimes carriages just get stuck or hard to navigate with.
° Draw or write either handler or non-training Kukuri helping your Kukuri navigate or get over hard terrain.

VI - Strength in Numbers
A heavier carriage needs helping hands, and it's important to learn to work as a team.
° Draw or write your Kukuri pulling a carriage with a Kukuri that is not being currently trained. A handler is not required for this prompt.

if no one of them is trained for Heavy load training the pic is valid for both ?
And HLT it should be done after compleating BBT ?

HLT can be done at any time, you don't need to do the BTT first.

And yes, if the kukus involved arent already trained in HLT/RT, the image is valid (as long as the maximum of 3 kukus trained per image is still followed).

I don't think this is right, but you can't do two prompts, say BTT prompts, in one image or piece of literature, right? I want to say I read that you couldn't.

You can do multiple prompts in a single image or literature as long as all the requirements are met.

What it means by you cannot do one prompt twice in the same training is that you cannot do this:

Training for kukuri A:

I - Can I Trust You
III - Facing an Illness
III - Facing an Illness

All prompts for a single set of training need to be different. While you can put multiple kukus into the same training (to a maximum of 3) you cannot do as above. Does this help?

Sorry to jump in, but does that mean that I could do all three prompts for one kukuri in one literature piece?

and if so, what would the word count be?

No, they still need to be seperate pieces if its lit. The multiple prompts thing is for multiple different kukus.

Probably noted somewhere obvious, but for BTT no starters have to be present if we wish? Only the kuku undergoing the training?

For tame BTT you need to have a parent kuku (in certain prompts) but you're expected to use a handler for most. Just having the kuku alone undergoing most training prompts for BTT will essentially be an automatic fail as a handler/parent/starter/guardian needs to be present. Please read the prompts carefully to ascertain which prompts do need parent/handler/etc and which do not.

Hey, so lets say for example my Kukuri is raised by a handler but becomes wild later on in his life, could I use the wild training to show him moving into his wild status as an adult rather than the normal ones? I'd still have somebody guiding him (frustratingly for them) and teaching him how to live in the wild.

As long as the prompts requirements are followed, you can do that ^^

Also if you got more things to ask please drop them in the Questions and answers please ^^

Anything that happens within the group should be expected to have about a week of a waiting time. Anything before that is luxury, and anything after that means we either have backlog or the admins are busy ´v`/

You can change it completely if you want. Previous trainings can be disregarded completely if they aren't turned in and are from a previous owner. You can simply use these for FP instead!

You can submit pieces in black and white too, as long as the kukus markings are properly represented and all the shading is in place.

Something like this:

Can a person do black and white drawing where it says colors are required if the Kuku's marking are clearly visible on all activities? I see that that is allowed for training, but wasn't sure about other activities.

Black and white is allowed but it must be like the example I linked above. Just lines aren't allowed, they must be coloured in some form of monochrome or greyscale.

Two training prompts is required to finish the training ´v` You don't need to complete more, but completing more doesn't give any more bonuses, unfortunately.
