Injuries and illnesses

Fri Nov 11, 2016, 4:13 AM by Unikeko:iconunikeko:

Sometimes through the activities your Kukuri might catch an injury or an illness, which must be treated. This page will guide you on how to treat these!

DISEASES

Your Kukuri has a small chance of getting ill from activities (hunting, gathering, excavating or traveling). When your Kukuri gets ill, there's a week of cool down before it's negatives start affecting the Kukuri, so you do not have to worry about posting multiple activities.

The illnesses will be applied only for the new entries that are posted after the grace period is over. The entries in the queue are not affected by the illness.

Flu
Your Kukuri can continue doing activities, but has a 50% chance of the flu evolving in pneumonia for every activitiy it's in.

SCARS

Like diseases, scars can appear with a small chance from activities. However, they can also appear from breedings when something comes horribly wrong, and some can cause more harm than others.

Small Scar
Scar pack by momma-kuku
Healed with: Bandages

If a small scar is not healed within a month, an admin will place a scar on your Kukuri (decided randomly from the pre-provided scar pack). You may also decide to place the scar yourself, if you do not wish to heal it.

Large Scar
Large Scarpack by momma-kuku
Healed with: Stitches
Healed with no scars left behind: Stitches + Healing potion

A large scar has a 50% chance of causing an infection for every activity the kukuri takes part in. If left unhealed, causes infertility if caused by breeding mistakes.

May have additional conditions.

If you desire to keep the scar, check our item guide on what are the allowed ranges!

Would corruption fall under an illness? If so, whats the rate of it spreading to other healthy kukuri. Like it i have 3 corrupted kukuri in the same image as a health one, can that health one get corrupted?

Heyo! Contamination is a status effect rather than an illness, so it doesn't spread.

BUT you can make lore that it has spread from your kukuri to another, by applying the contamination potion to the desired kukuri ´v`/ We will give the contamination art files to public in future.

Can an already blind kuku get eye infections? Likewise can they get ear infections and become both blind and deaf?
It'd be pretty hard to live if you had your two major senses removed ^^;

Sorry it seems that this message was skipped over!

The infections are completely randomized, so unfortunately yeah if an infection is left unhealed, it can affect hearing/sight even if one of those was already missing 8(

I'm kinda concerned how this will affect people with only one kuku. You need Cr to buy the cure, but you can't exactly get it without doing activities. Isn't there a way to protect a kuku before they get injured/sick?

For the record, it's harder to catch an illness than it is to get a random mutation in the breeding ´v`// I'm sure there's lot of people willing to help if a newbie catches an illness without resources to heal it, leasing is an option too!

small question: if our Kuku catches an illness and someone uploads e.g activity payments - can we like "freeze" our Kuku for rolling  or do we just hope that noone does pic of our Kuku until we manage to heal it?

Since we do our best to roll every day, there's kind of a safety net that if the image was already posted by the time the kukuri gets the illness, it won't be counted as ill yet <3 Hopefully that eases out your fear a bit!
