Excavating

Excavating is one of the 4 main loot-earning activities - known as "Activity Rolls" (ARs) - in the game, where you can go dig around your familiar surroundings or perhaps go down to explore some caves to find some hidden goods, which can be sold for Crescents or used in crafting!

SETTING UP YOUR ACTIVITY TRACKER

Firstly, all members are required to make an Activity Tracker; this is similar to a Fate Point Tracker, with four comments dedicated to the four lootable group activities; Hunting, Gathering, Excavating, and Traveling. You can find an example of an activity tracker here.

EXCAVATING
You can find many valuable things in the depths... but how to do it? Its quite simple; the idea is to depict your Kukuri exploring caves, tunnels, mines, or similar underground locations - let your imagination run wild! Not every tunnel you enter needs to be made of rock or stone either. You can find new friends or dangers, with or without the aid of a handler

INCREASING YOUR ODDS
As with all activities, you can succeed or fail to find anything in excavating. There is nothing in the entry that you can do to increase your chances, but Familiars, Traits, Arisen Rank and Keen Sense Potions can be used to aid in your quest. These should all be listed in the provided form!

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR EXCAVATING

° One image/story can feature up to 3 Kukuris excavating. You can include more if you wish, but only 3 will be rewarded items and the activity bonus - Extra kukuri will not earn this FP bonus.

° One image/story is one excavating trip, which means that you can't collab many journeys into one picture/story, and comic pages are judged as one trip if posted as a page.

° Excavating is about going to caves or underground tunnels. There can be holes where you can see the sky or outside world, but as whole it should show your Kukuri underground.
° Rolling for rewards is completely random

° Always link kukuris into description! Failing this might result for no FP getting rewarded.

REQUIREMENTS FOR EXCAVATION IMAGES

1. At least 75% of the Kukuri must be visible and in the scene

2. The image must be fairly clean, colored, shaded, and have a shaded background. Backgrounds should have at least 3 hand drawn elements not including the ground or sky (ex: rocks, vines, animals, etc)

3. The image must be at minimum 300x300 pixels, with each kukuri at least 150 x 150 pixels or easily recognizable.

4. The image shouldn't be a noticeably lower quality compared to your gallery.

REQUIREMENTS FOR EXCAVATION LITERATURE

1. The story must be at least 1000 words

2. Every additional Excavating kukuri requires an additional +500 words, meaning two kukuri would require 1500 words, and three kukuri 2000 words.

3. Kukuri should be 75% present through the whole story.

4. Stories should be 75% about the activity.

Once youve done this, visit the Activity thread hub and submit your traveling to the Traveling thread; where an admin will check if your entry meets the requirements, roll your rewards, post them to your activity tracker, and automatically add them to your bank.

If a roll is rejected don't fret! Our admins will share the reasoning and you are welcome to make necessary adjustments and resubmit your entry.
