An aspiring artist recently re-anchored on her craft, Kelly focuses on a style of acrylic painting that involves vaguely viscous media. Instead of applying paint with a brush, she pours the liquid paint onto the canvas. Serendipity is at heart: whether the painting ends in a creature or a cellular wave is anyone's guess, until the final product is laid to rest. Kelly graduated from St. Paul's College of Visual Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in some far-flung decade.

Thanks! It was a flip indeed. Flip, drag, single stroke with a hairdryer, then blown out around the perimeter with my mouth. There was too much white, so I then dripped yellow and red spots followed by black on top of them, and then very gently blew those out with my mouth as well. I wasn't sure how well those spots would work, but it did. This is a pretty unique one, and I've yet to succeed on making another quite like it. Serendipity at its finest I suppose.
