Thought so. Add in subsonic ammo, and you've got a gun that is inaudible beyond 20 metres or so.

Magnetically accelerated metal projectile, so no explosive accelerant or muzzle-flash (this being from the Star Wars EU, a world dominated by plasma-based weapons). Pinpoint accurate, no recoil, and whisper-quiet.

...Somehow. Yeah, the physics don't exactly check out. Still a cool weapon though.

And I love this rendering! I always thought the original Karen Traviss-approved replica looked a bit clunky and uncomfortable to hold. I like how this improves on it while still incorporating elements from it.

Zero recoil is easily possible. You have guns like the Kriss Vector and AA-12, which have fantastic recoil mitigation.
