Dice was chosen for this:
1.) His vision is blurry and all the colors he sees are more muted when the swirls are shown in his eye sockets. When the swirls are gone his vision is perfect and he can see colors normally. (He doesn't even realize the swirls even disappear or that his eyes even do this.)
2.) Willingly showing his soul to someone is an intimate thing to do in his AU. Checking his stats to see his soul does not count as intimate as it stays inside his ribcage when said action is done. (Which means when someone asks to see his soul, even if it's for healing purposes, he's gonna be highly flustered and hesitant depending on the situation.)
3.) He has tried to suicide by overdosing twice and failed both times (before he met his friends)
4.) The simplest of things amuse him. (Bubbles, cards, coloring books, dice, etc. He's like a child)
5.) Voices in his head are constantly telling him to do bad things but he has learned very well to ignore them.
6.) He can parent very well and knows how to clean and cook and etc. (He knows how to sew as well)
7.) He knows how to use his magic extremely well for fighting or for performance. (Normally consists of beautiful swirls that glitter and shine, or even simple magic tricks with cards)
8.) He never uses his magic enough, so sometimes the magic builds up inside of him and he becomes really twitchy and panicked. (He uses the hood of his jacket as an outlet to keep his magic from building up inside him too fast. This is why his hood is always floating up like a tail.)
