So, the day I have been anticipating for several months is almost here! At the end of last year, I sold my prior digital SLR, an Olympus E-600. While I was satisfied with the equipment overall, and the camera helped produce some awesome shots, I kept feeling a nagging problem--or two, to be exact--with some of the light/color balancing and with the focus quality, especially when shooting in the fully automatic mode. So, after much research and deliberation, I have settled on its replacement: the Canon EOS 7D, at the top of the non-professional range. And, thanks to a nice annual bonus from work coming this week, I'll be able to pick up some nice additional lenses: I just have to figure out which ones.
Friday (February 18) I'll be picking it up and I'm already counting the hours. And I'm grateful, too, to Mother Nature for the sunny (if cold) weather in store for us this weekend!
