- Publicly shame them in a "Buyer Beware" post
- Report them to deviantArt (is this even an option)
- Cut your losses and simmer in your own disappointment
- Any other suggestions about what I can do?
I just hopped over to look at the Sword Art Online manga (I'm only familiar with the anime), and I have to agree with you, something seems off with the art style. It's not terrible, but it seems like the head and eye proportions are a little funky.
It doesn't take much for me to like something but either thing in a series is definitely good!! If I had to chose between them I would say interesting story over art. But good art is just asdfghjkhgfds Even though I don't think I could keep up with a series that was boring even if the art was good. I would try though. I would definitely try. And I usually can. It really depends. Sorry for rambling.
And I have to agree with TiaPrincessNews.
No worries on the rambling! I'm kinda like TiaPrincessNews also. The art has to be good enough to catch my eye initially, but the story is what will decide whether or not I buy/read something.
Well, it varies a little. I might not even pick it up if the artwork isn't good enough, but then I'd put it right back down if the story seems uninteresting. Still, for one or the other I might give it a chance; but I guess the story is a bigger trump than anything.
Nice. I appreciate your input! That's kind of how I feel about things, too. If the art is too weird I won't bother, but if the story seems good enough I'll give anything a chance.
Thanks for your help!
