I'm asking for opinions on this photo and the general topic of macros.
The middle one is the original, the top one is the background evened out to black, the bottom one is the background evened out to a colour that was originally in the background, in this case a blue-grey colour.
Which is better? Does the whole thing look too fake? Should I have left the other branch in?

I would say the bottom one looks the best. It is alot clearer and focuses alot more on the flower and the bee itself. The colours are also better.
I am not sure if you should have left the branch in. it definatly looks ok without it, but it wouldn't look bad with it.

The colour is better, the colour is slightly amplified in the edited ones, but not the original.
