Gentle, the wind that kisses my face.
Palm trees alight with Yuletide gleam.
Azure waves capped by soft moonbeam.
Joy-filled greetings are heard in the ear.
Barefoot walking the sand in a dream.
Starlit sky, blinking lights, calling me near.
Fond memories of Decembers held dear.
There's peace in a warm Florida Christmas.
a leaf descends
the lover mourns
the warming water
flows in constant sobs
the warrior leans
into the autumn wind
chance a jasmine scent
green, black, earl gray
birch in steep, cheese on wheat
we relax on grass
crisping leaves, moistening bodies
woken smiling embers
paint in their den
resolved in white
creations as shells
stand on the beach and point
"this was a fruit of my life."
I spread my arms and smile--
love is not a breeze
