Okay boys and girls...here is the latest. The RZ Halloween 2 lunch box. This was a commission piece. Really liked the way it turned out. Once again. If anyone is interested in one, let me know.

hey there, this is really fine work. I really love owning these retro lunchboxes, and I cam across a plain one the other day and have started working on one myself. I have already done a base of my background color with an enamel spray paint and gone over it with a fixitive spray, and have drawn my design on the sides of the box. I was planning on using enamel paints and brushes to paint the design on, though this is my first time doing a custome paint, and was wondering what kind of paint you use, and whether or not using enamel paints is a good idea? please and thanks.

The ones that were hand painted were done with acrylic paint and then sealed with a triple thick sealer. Enamel paints should work just fine. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply and advice, ill look for a triple thick seeler, I've already had som of the base come off when I was drawing on the design.

Thanks for your comment. It is for sure on my list. I hopefully will have some to sell soon. Right now it is on a commission basis only. The commissioned pieces cost a little more. This one sold for $125. Not sure how I am going to price the more generic pieces. I don't have anything in stock to sell, but if you are interested in something, please let me know.
