Floating Island

This was my first large artwork I've made which I strive hard for it, but there was a harrowing story behind in this piece while I was doing it. Sometime in 2009, I was in the office the whole day and night because there was a fiercely enormous tropical storm that hit the country named "ONDOY". It seemed like my floating idea for this artwork became real at that time. We were all trapped at work because the entire roads were filled by water, fallen trees, and flooded everywhere, even vehicles couldn't cross the flood which caused a heavy traffic. We were able to get home at 3am the next day, so this piece is very memorable and unforgettable to me.
