Concept Art - The Golden Peacock Princess

This one of my final pieces for Digital Painting class. This is base on the chinese lore of the Peacock Princess and the movie. The model is Yang Liping, well of coarse, its from a photo but I did the dress and everything else. Her dance is very beautiful and inspiring for art. I present the Golden Peacock Princess.

PS: Oh, the dance is an ancient dance from Dai people of China. The tradition was for the men to wear the costume since the wings were so heavy and the more beloved peacocks were male. Yang modernize the dance and aspired a new fond love for its beauty.
