Under-water technique by Kooskia Under-water technique by Kooskia
(c) E.E.Knight (characters and series)
(c) Kooskia (fanart)

A little scene took directly from the third book of Age of Fire series, from E.E.Knight (a series with dragons protagonists).
Basically it's exactly what's said (the "it seems so perverse" with intrigued voice) , but RuGaard doesn't reply in the book xD
(and for who doesn't know the series, the green one is female).

PLEASE, IF YOU FAVE IT, LEAVE A LITTLE COMMENT !!!

Hehe! I'm a bit too late but I've read the series. Actually the underwater technique is less 'pervert' than a mating on the ground. :D

Yeah, I need to hurry up now and finish reading Avenger. Everyone who knows of AoF tells me that Dragon Outcast is one of the best books of the series.

Haha yeah...
Also Avenger was good, i only found the central parts a bit slowly (compared with the other books), but i was probably going to re-read.
Btw it's just a "news" of these days for me (and it appears for many other historical fans of the series) that actually there is even a short-story on Kindle that's a prequel focused on AuRel and Irelia.
It went a bit unnoticed by many i think, despite it's from December 2013.
But it's strongly suggested to read before Dragon Outcast, before venturing in this short prequel.

Funny, that seems to be a bit of a wide criticism of D.A, but personally, while it did drag on a little bit, I kinda felt it was rather like 'slice of life', and I kinda enjoyed it.

As for Dragon Search, I plan to read all of the current books (for I have them as books) before I look at the prequel. I don't actually own a good kindle, so I'm rather dissapointed that you can't get that shorter as an actual book.

So am I, but Amazon says that there's an app you can use for other things like tablets and the like, so I imagine you can download that, use it to open the file, and then just print that out...it's what I plan to do!

I see. Yeah, that might work. I'll buy it once I've finished the books though.

I think it's because people is mostly expecting for the story to "go on" after the events of the first book. However i can say that after having finished the series, i got the interest-need to check back and re-read D.A. (mostly because Wistala is still great in the next books, and elves play a part, and you feel the need to re-read all that Rainfall said v.v).

I guess the problem it's the large issue of modern fantasy and publishng and general crisis of the sector (with authors starting kickstarter campaign etc..)
He planned to enlarge the story (now it's self-conclusive, roughly 1/4 of book) with additional parts, if the Kindle did well.

This is also the issue (i think) of the last book (much criticized): i think that the issue was lack of proof-editing from publisher and rushing on the author.
There are (especially on last chapters of last book) some grammar mistakes, some name-switching mistake (only one is serious: that make confusion on the reader), some lack of descriptions/"Holes" (most serious one it's that during a talking scene, AuRon reply and.... you wasn't aware that he was present there!).
But if you keep aside these elements, and focus on the plot and what happens.... i got satisfied by the ending.
Even slightly more satisfied than i expected, if i may say.
In particular there is a great Epilogue ^^

I see. Hmmm, do authors ever re-publish their work? If Knight took Dragon Fate, systematically rewrote it to fix the problems in the original publication and then resold it, I imagine that would be alright, right?

I think someone has already asked him and i'm not sure to have understood the replies.
Guess could be done, but t has something to do with the publishing rights etc...

I had just read this scene few seconds ago.
She said "It seems delightfully perverse", which made me smile.

I've just finished book #3. Though it's harder to read than Ratha series for me.
What can I say? The Copper is thoroughly maimed dragon.

Starting Dragon Strike in 3... 2... 1 :D

Some people say that first 3 books are good but the rest of the series isn't. As for me, #4 was nice too. They finally meet each other. That's what I was waiting for but wasn't the way I expected it to be. And that's good. I like when writer surprises me.
Maaaaybe I'll draw something fanart-ish.

Oh gosh, i've yet to start it! Yeah, i've read some of these comments.
But i like to wait and read from myself x3
It's said there are small grammar issues and (minor) continuity issues.
However being non-english speaker, grammar mistakes are not a problem for me xD

I remember RuGaard being rather excited by the idea, since he figured he wouldn't be able to make a real mating flight.

Hehe i know xD but i had a bit forgot his actual reaction while drawing it, and i was remembering he kept silent..
Moreover i don't know i could have made fun of the scene with him being eager Xd

Hah! Nice pic. :D Some dragons like Auron are pretty conservative in thees things, though other ones have no problems with mating on the ground.

Hehe well... even if in RuGaard case it's mostly because he's forced to do so due his issues..

Um..... checked back  xD Actually i draw the sketch some time ago (coloured only recently) and i now didn't remember that he gave such positive reply. Xd
Honestly i can't remember if at the time i wanted to make a different reaction by him, or ii just missed it Xd

Well... it wouldn't be the first time that i make altered text in fancomics-scenes (indeed it's 99% xD)

Well... i've yet to start the fourth ^^ I've to finish before the last book of Temeraire AND reading other books on paper.
There are simply too many to catch up (and maybe i've already done it, but i really could suggest you a pair of awesome series..)

Well... actually maaaaaany series xD I've told you i think that i love reading all the books with non-human characters, and there are lots.
You could just give a peep on my gallery to find others apart Age of Fire and Temeraire, or my front-page journals because at the bottom i keep ever an updated list of my groups (and mostly are fan-groups of this or this other series).
Seriously, i could hardly "start" telling you this or this other, because i've read LOTS of them xD

I think I did look up one of the books you suggested to me, but I couldn't find it in my local libraries, so I forgot about it for a while...perhaps I should go and request they buy it. Actually, there's been a few books like that I've been meaning to track down; I should start browsing the Book Depository again!

Um... here libraries are often connected to a "net" i mean, if one want to search for a book, it's the library that see if other  libraries own that specific book and search it for you. And speaking of this specific series (the books of Clare Bell) they're out from some time and i think they should not too much difficult to be found.

It's the rule of funny, really!

Course, there is a sweet element to that scene...RuGaard won't be able to mate the traditional way because of his dud wing, so Nilrasha's suggesting a way they can get close to what he'll not get to experience (and potentially have eggs)!
