A lightweight dragon fighting into the Revolutionary Insurgent Army of Ukraina, an Anarchist army that fought during the Russian Civil War, at first sided with the Bolshevik forces against the White counter-revolutionary forces but then also against the Lenin's forces too.

Taking details from the Naomi Novik books, it's known as the living conditions of dragons in Russia during the Napoleonic Wars was probably the worst of the world, considering the style of the Czarist rule for all the '800, Aviator forces (and their dragons) are probably going to follow the hopes of the October Revolution and fights against the old rule (we've seen clearly how the Air Corps are often formed by non-aristocrats members).

--------

Here we've a dragon whos captain joined to the Makhno 's insurgent army: aircraft and heavy machine guns may have already forced dragons to pay an high tribute of blood, with with a bit of intelligence, dragons can still be a formidable force expecially considering the low number of aircrafts involved in fightings into the vast russian lands during the Civil War.

A Maxim machine-gun has been mounted on a wooden housing, adapting the "Tachanka" style already used for horse-drawn wagons.
This dragon has just landed to allow re-supply of the machine-gune and soon will go return to strafe from air the the thick formations of the White chavalry.

Meh! Has its moments I suppose. Anyway 'death to life' was a Makhnovist war cry presumably meaning 'We're not afraid to die nor kill'. I wonder if anyone's been shouting it in the Ukraine again recently?

Nice name btw, Kooskia.

I didn't know that it was one of their lines ^^
Well...  considering most of the people is anti-russians and nationalist/right-wing oriented, i don't think they're doing it...
Moreover the Ukrainian Communist party make a stern opposition to them, while still being critics toward the president..
I've not read about the modern anarchist ukrainian, if they took side or remains neutral..

Oh I'm sure they'll be out on the streets with people of all different flags and peculiar political peccadillos. Everyone can see that the (former) president was propped up  by crony capitalism of the worst kind and this is an affront to the dignity at all. Whether a Timoshenko led replacement regime will be able to offer anything more progressive is debatable but at this point surely we can all agree that anything is better than a Hungary '56 or Czechoslovakia '68 scenario.

Still like that name. Kooskia! How lovely.

It's true... but i've seen a bit too much violent nationalists among the protesters, making it a bit too much "anti-russian" protest, rather then a "pro-EU" protest...
And when nationalisms turns violent, usually bad things happens...
For exemple i'm a bit in fear for all the eastern/southern ukrainian (as Googynoober) that being closer to russians as linguistic/ethnic group could risk to be subjected of random aggressions...

Thank you ^^ The name come from a Nez Percè (native american)'s term ..

Going to my collection... I love Makhnovists' uniform, though Nestor Makhno was an enemy of any organization (anarcho-communist =) ) , so they haven't any standard uniform and wear any uniform and clothes whom they could find. I like wagon-like platform for Maxim-machine-gun, I imagined this thing in similar way. Anarcho-communists' flag is awesome, they used a black fabric with anarchist slogans.

thank you ^^ yes i've think that.. but in the end i've imagined it was better to give the two aviators the same look, moreover they could have simply have recovered the same stock of uniforms from the white ^^

You're right. It's very possible, a fortiori they are serving on one dragon, so they need a similar uniform. =)
