Bonechewer's lizard attack by Kooskia Bonechewer's lizard attack by Kooskia
(c) :iconrathacat: (author of the book)
(c)Kooskia (fancomic)

A silly parody fancomic about the first book of the Named series ( Ratha's Creature ).
Just wanted to make an alternative fun-scene inspired by a little detail into the book.

Well.. that's basically when Ratha (the protagonist) experiences her first heat and suddenly Bonechewer appears and gives her a lizard letting it dropp on her face.
While in the book she eat it without complain and then go on well... you-know-what, i wanted to make a fun scene about it. xD

PLEASE; IF YOU FAVE IT, DON'T RUSH AND RUN, LEAVE A LITTLE COMMENT!!
IT'S NICE TALKING WITH OTHERS ; )

Hehe ok...  i see you like Warriors.
I would suggest you these books: they're still a bit different because even if the protagonists are felines, they're not exactly "animals". I realized that the series is more a  "prehistoric  science-fiction" with the meaning that they (the Named) are turning into the main sentient species.
I just warn you that contents are slightly more mature then Warriors (there are very painful moments for some characters, personal losses, tragedies etc..  and it's more mature reguarding mating behavior), but is very fascinating for having profund dramas and character developments

Now I remember that scene, I have mixed feelings to Ratha and Bonechewer, sometimes I hate them because of their primal savagery and Ratha's "badassity". Though in that scene Ratha has an excuse.

Don't know... Ratha is quite different from many other (sadly) widespread female "Mary Sue" characters: she may have a growing strenght, but she's not absent from mistakes and defeats. Honestly i don't know if her behaviour can be described as "badassity", there are plenty of events when she manage to survive just with the help of others.

Also, what do you mean with "savagery"? O.o
Honestly the only savagery i've seen it's at the end, when Ratha show little to none pity toward the defeated Unnamed: but her behaviour is understandble if you consider her recent losses

I had never read "animal" fantasy before "Tailchaser's song" and the first book of Ratha's series, so I see the characters as humans but their are not. I was confused by Ratha's aggressive outbursts and her "badassity" :D There is the word "badass" in English, I had just changed it to "badassity". In Russian that word is not existed, but the word "zadira" is pretty close to it and means a person who search a conflict with others. Anyway Ratha ignores her teacher's (Thakur) orders and advices and got troubles. Then she had find the Red Tongue and tried to bring it to her tribe like Prometheus of Greek myth, but instead of Prometheus her thoughts is not about "goodness" of all. She just needs in toys. She violated the traditions of her tribe like a kid who is playing with fire :D in the literal and figurative. For the tribe her exile was right, except her friends of course. I hate Thakur in that scene he did nothing to help Ratha, neither before and after of her exile. Fesrana in the only friend who was helping Ratha with the fire and then to run from the pursuit. I totally understand why Ratha joined to the Unnamed and her help to them against Meoran's tribe but the ease with which she changes her mind is scaring me sometimes.
P/S I like the characters. I just pointed to strange for me moments.

Oh ok, it's just that the term "Baddass", close to the first behaviour of Ratha, seems she's doing it on purpose... while she doesn't ignores Thakur's advises "on purpose", i mean... yes she do it, but without realize the risk and the consequences because of her age and inexperiences.
And about the fire...  it's true that she basically got fascinated by the fire, but one have also to consider her background: the fact that Meoran displeased the female herders. Also if Ratha just needed "toys", why sharing with others? (or attempting to do..).

In some ways, i find really realistic the behaviour of Ratha: expecially her mental downfall after the cubs, or previously how she adapted to try to merge with the Unnamed.
It may be scary, but i think they're among the best point

Mah.
Comunque è davvero carinissimo XD!
