Aree's tail... it's a war-machine!  No.. seriously xD  This is the second fanart i did for the second book of the Named series (Clan Ground), once again concering Aree the treeling, an awesome critter that everyone would love x3

This scene is basically as in the book ! Aree got disappeared for some time (i will not tell you why X3)  and Thakur was of course terribly depressed. But Ratha manage to find the little trouble-maker and as soon as Thakur it's on leap-range, none can stop Aree!
Even if the tail is still well wrapped around the Ratha's neck and the poor Clan leader is dragged on ground as consequences of Aree's
enthusiasm  xD

I was really pleased and amused by such scene xD

(the Named should seriously consider such technique  against enemies v.v )

PLEASE; IF YOU FAVE IT, DON'T RUSH AND RUN, LEAVE A LITTLE COMMENT!!
IT'S NICE TALKING WITH OTHERS ; )

Ratha is a bad-ass girl, she had ignored Thakur's orders and got adventures :D

Well... i guess..there is something else rather then "craving for adventures" in the book xD
It was something of important, chosing to follow her instinct, have faith in what she found/discovered and protect it.
Then dealing with the consequences and still preserve her discovery...

I'm on half way through the first book but Ratha is a pretty cool action cat. =)

I like your style of drawing;  it's different and makes your work unique.  You'll find a way to adapt it to make the various species look different.  Treelings have more pointed muzzles than the cats, but that's' hard to show in a face-on view.  BTW, the treelings are based on a prehistoric American lemur-like primate called Plesiadapis.

Very nice pic. There are so cute cat muzzles, especially that little guy. Finally I got the first book and I'm starting to read it today. =)

well.. actually it's a lemur-sort of x3 Not really felines even if have some sort of cat-like muzzles in some species xD
But it's mainly my style of drawing that has poor differences between species and species Xd
