Hehe many pointed this to me, but i ever delayed reading it because if i nor wrong, certain races stick on being entirely villains, and i dont like much this theme.
But eventually i will read the first...

Its just the stereo type, there have been characters that break that stereotype every once in awhile.

I close to finish the first one. Still a bit uncertain, its well wrote and interesting as world (even if i got it well the first book has details and things that will be cchanged) but really the characters are a bit veeeeeeeeery one-sided xd

Oooo I forgot to mention "Of Mice and Magic" by David Farland. I haven't read it yet, but it might be good for fans of Redwall and the Mouse Guard series. If you want brilliant graphic novels, add Mouse Guard O_O

Here's Mice & Magic: www.amazon.com/Mice-Magic-Rave…

One of the characters is a human who gets turned into a mouse . . . does that still count?

Helloo! x3

I read Mouse Guard XD (well... one of them) but I've not inserted it here because I placed only books xd
And Redwall... many people told me to read it, but I tried to avoid it so far because I don't like book with (flat, it seems) villains related to a specific species... sounds slightly racist/specist and while I understand it may be useful as tool in certain literature, I tends to search for books that have more gray characters...

And oh yes! And personally I appreciate much that element (transformation) because I like when a protagonist discover a whole new world etc..
For example one of the last books I read is Abandoned by Paul Gallico that is exactly on this theme.. (young boy turned into a cat).

Hey there! X3

I enjoyed reading Wings of Fire.
Only it has a lower rating compared to Age of Fire: protagonists are young dragons (dragonets) in a all-dragon fantasy world (human exists but deails are spoilers, however they are not relevant for plot). There is a very cool amount of humor or relaxing scenes or bickery etc...
There is a certain amount of violence however. Villains tends to be quite flat but somewhat it fit the more younger rating and still they can be threatening or interesting or just "so mad evil to be fun".

As interesting fact, the dragons are "semi-anthorpomorphic" I would say. While still walking on four legs and flying, they can hold objects and manipulate crafts: and while not a primary choice of weapons (they still like claws/fangs/special powers), they can also use spears as weapons.

The only big shortcoming it's the size of the series xD
Two series actually so far, plus few minor short-stories (as filler/background of minor characters) that I only partitially read.

And if you're curious I draw some comics about this series Xp but mostly spoiler stuff..

Hehe no worries, and i would love to read your opinions of tge first book as soon as you read it!

The first is quite interesting choice as point-of-view. Forgot to say each book has a different POV.

Indeed it a bit for younger audiance, but this mostly results in higher amount of humor while there is still a good amount of blood and fight.

Btw soon i should read a new one of the second series. TBH second series has a pair of excessive deus ex machina and a couple of not much intriguing characters, but i long to read the last book because has the Pov of a very cool guy

I just bought the book , i'm gonna start to read it soon :p It was a bit strange , the french translation is "kingdoms of fire" x3
It's like Age of fire for the POV ? If it's the case it's really nice , i love this serie.
I will tell you my impression as soon as i have finished it !

Hey! oh yes also in italian it was translated in a similar way, but I read the books in english xD

I have not totally understood your question however, it's about Age or Wings of fire?
Age of Fire follow one point-of-view for book (during the first 3 books series), the next final 3 books mix the 3 different pov in each book.

On the contrary Wings of Fire have 6 books for first series and 6 for second series, and each book has a entirely different and unique point-of-view

Hey :p My english is not enough to read an entire book i think ^^

That what i wanted to know , one book = one POV . I just started to read and it's a good beginning :)

of course! x3 it's a nice book, it follow a young greyhound who is born into a pen/place for racing dogs and escape from it. There is a quite amount of supernatural elements especially in terms of "Paths" a dog may run on and related to the spirits of ancestors but overhall the supernatural element is less strong compared books like Warriors. Plot follow the male protagonist pov and there is a good cast of secondary/supporting characters and villains (human and dogs).

Hmmmmm........ I don't know if you know "The 13½ Lives of Captain Bluebear"? It's a somewhat goofy book, with a bear protagonist but everybody is an animal or some other weird creature. A bit childish at times, maybe, but there's real cool stuff in there.

I recalled the name and now i checked... I think my younger cousin read these books when i visited him years ago xD
and yep, seems a bit too much younger rating for my taste ^^ but no problem x3 and if you're curious about some of the dragon books I inserted, feels free to ask ^^
