A bad break by KonekoKaburagi A bad break by KonekoKaburagi
Yes. I cried... Man tears running down my face onto my Singer machine. I was doing some embroidery when it started missing the bobbin, so checked everything it seemed fine.  2 stitches later I get this and CRUNCH! The needle is junk and the entire bobbin assembly it torqued really bad and moves around. This is a huge setback on pretty much all my projects at the moment.

I HATE mechanical malfunctions. They shouldn't even be allowed when you're on a roll. So sorry!!!!

It seems like things only break when you need them the most..

Or you run out of thread 3 inches (or less) from the end of a seam!!! erg! I used to have a beautiful, really expensive Viking sewing machine, but my niece 'borrowed it' permanently. Now I have a Kenmore. (How the mighty have fallen!) It's still good, though. I love the design of the sheep! Do you have an etsy shop? I just opened one: 3 Laughing Ladies. Right now there is a bunch of felties on there, but soon there will be Lolita clothing, and Japanese designed everyday wear. Oh, and I do have on some headbands I made. Happy sewing and hopefully nothing else breaks.

OMG! I had that happen with an embroidery design once :XD:
I actually do have an Etsy, but it's very empty at the moment... You should join EtsySellers if you haven't already:D

And thanks. Hopefully I can fix the machine soon... :)

I've only ever sewn by hand. I can't imagine all of the things I could have done with a sewing machine ><
How much does it cost to fix the needle? or get a new one?

the needle is only part of it. The bobbin assembly looks like it twisted and came loose. It just flops around in there now.
I have no idea how it happened, but it's probably my fault.
I'm going to take it apart tonight and try to see if any parts can be replaced.

They vary a lot depending on company and the machine's features.
Basic Singers at Walmart are not too bad between 89-200
The embroidery are 600-1,000
Mine retails at $899
It might sound like a lot at first but it better to make an investment in a good machine rather than replace a cheap one every few years...
