It's the Mexico's national victory day that Ignasio Zaragosa's mexican army defeated the french army on battle from Pueblo Mexico.

Cool!!! I'm glad to know that people around the world knows what the party is about, because there's people, especially in the USA that think it's Mexico's independence day and well, someone doesn't go to a party without knowing what's the party about in the first place, that could bring problems.

Some extra data: The mexican army was weakened at that time because not even a year before finished a civil war, and the French army was one of the strongest, if not the strongest army in the world back then.

That made the achievement of defeating them even greater.

Well yes, that was in 1836, a well armed mexican army against just a bunch of texans rebels, mostly USA people who were looking for a place to stay, but they wanted to keep their American "priviligies" in mexican territory, like the right to have slaves, and slavery was illegal in Mexico, and when the mexican government told them they couldn't have slaves, they had the brilliant idea of claim their independence from Mexico, so they could create their own republic in Texas and keep their slaves, and started a military movement. Then, Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna, the mexican president at the time, and a good military commander, decided to "play along".

Actually, the battle from alamo was a massacre.

Stereotypical? Maybe. Racist? I don't think so. Awesome? Definitely yes. She's wearing a Mariachi suit and she looks lovely and happy. Besides, you said it was a joke and that's just fine. On the other hand, if you'd have meant that seriously, then that could be considered racist.

And I have a little question for you, I don't mean to be rude or anything, but I want to ask you if you know what's CINCO DE MAYO celebration is about?

You don't have to answer if you don't want to, I'm just asking.

If I may ask, how is this considered racist? Ronnie Anne is canonically Hispanic so it should be okay for her to be dressed like this to celebrate Cinco de Mayo.

In all fairness, I didn't really see that as a jab at Trump. I really can't recall him saying this particular line about Cinco de Mayo.
