GAZA WILL LIVE FOREVER

Thanks Guys for your replies, I am glad to see that someone care

New One :

"A defiant Israel enforced its 3-year-old blockade of Hamas-ruled Gaza on Saturday, with naval commandos swiftly commandeering a Gaza-bound aid vessel carrying an Irish Nobel laureate and other activists and forcing it to head to an Israeli port instead.

The bloodless takeover stood in marked contrast to a deadly raid of another Gaza aid ship this week. However, it was unlikely to halt snowballing international outrage and demands that Israel lift or at least loosen the devastating closure that confines 1.5 million Palestinians to a small sliver of land and only allows in basic humanitarian goods." More : news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100605/a…

Why i am not surprised , but at least it was bloodless, amine for that :peace:

I am german, so i must be very careful what i say. I don't want someone to think that i'm against Israel by nature which isn't so. I'm only for justice for all people. The palestines which includes the Gaza people have the right to live in their own free country. At the moment they live in a gigantic prison. Everyone talks about the 9 people who are killed by this attack. But who talks about the children, old people and weak people who die because they have no medical support, because they have no medicaments caused by this blockade? They are much more than 9 people. If you treat a folks like that, how will you talk with them about peace? How will you talk about peace with your neighbour while he is building a house in your garden?

you are really expressing my opinion, not just me, well not just mine, but all on the Palestinian side, and you are being neutral, you should be a diplomat, very respect

well yeah, everyone talks about the 9 killed but at least they talk, that gives hope which can cause something [link]

I have read some information that suggests on one of the boats they found a lot of equipment for soldiers en route for Gaza, which basically proves Israel's point. Not to mention on said boat, many of the people had terrorist organization ties. I am not one to criticize a country at war for taking a preemptive strike. Unfortunately, we don't have all the information, so we can't say anything with all certainty. I am generally one to side with Israel though, because more often than not they are the victim, and they are a more credible nation in my opinion.

how many times Israel explained its inhuman actions by the "terrorism" theory, these boats contained 700 normal passengers from 30 countries and lots of aid, if there were "lots of equipment for soldiers", then why they didn't use it against the commandos, referring that they have "terrorist organization ties", they will know how to use them, and even so, Israel has no rights to do this in international waters, if it were another country, they would deal with it in a whole different way, and It again blocked the aid ship which came from Ireland "Rachel Corrie" [link] yeah we don't have the information, but In my opinion, I don't think "credible" would be a descriptive word for Israel, these Blockade on Gaza has no reasons, if it wants to protect it's country then fine, but without blocking freedoms like it always do

Just to be clear, i am just having a normal discussion with you, i am not criticizing your options or anything, it is clear that i am on Palestine side

Raining mortars down on innocent Israeli civilians from miles away is inhuman and it continues. And Israel offered to allow most of the items in that ship into Gaza too, and Gaza said it will reject that. Do the Palestinian leaders really care about their people if they wont let this aid in, even when Israel will let it in after its inspected? That should really put the Palestinian leadership in question. Israel, just like Palestine, is trying to establish its place comfortably in this world but it will never happen if neither side takes positive steps and maintains them. Both sides have bad leadership at this point. So I suggest you not criticize the Israelis and their tactics. To do so is hypocritical when Gaza practices brutality frequently and won't even accept free aid for their people. Not taking care of your people is the epitome of inhumanity.

look at the ratio between injured Israeli civilians if they present and how many innocent civilians died in Gaza from Israeli attacks, there's no comparison between the two sides, the "raining mortars" you are talking about is their right to defend their own country, even it hardly causes injury, look at the other side, you will see that Israel uses a very advanced, Internationally prohibited weapons which causes death and serious disabilities, [link] , [link] , [link] , what is hypocritical in criticizing that ?, and how can you expect after this tragedy that anyone can accept this aid even they really need it ?, and for your knowledge, they don't want to accept the aid until all detained activists are released, not for any other reason [link] and again no news refereed to the presence of weapons in side the ships, these people are normal citizens came from 30 countries to support Gaza, and we are not discussing the leaders or leadership of any country, we are discussing the inhuman blockade on Gaza, this illegal piracy of Israel in the international waters and how the situation would be different if it was another country who did that.

but in the end, we are having a civilized discussion, and we can disagree on some points, because we have different opinions

I was listening to a radio show on Thursday and an American soldier called in. He said that when he was in the Middle East he heard these "peace activists" saying things like "Hitler should have finished the job" to Jewish people. That doesn't sound very peaceful to me. Those words are revealing to the true intentions of the activists. Militants in Gaza are almost constantly raining mortars and other short range explosives down on Israel as well. If there is any question whatsoever that these ships may provide weapons or tactical aid in some manner then that is grounds for Israel to check them out in my opinion. Not to mention Turkey is no longer a friend of Israel since becoming increasingly aligned with more radical Islamic countries like Iran. The more I read and the more details about this attack come to light, the more I see that Israel may have been justified in this attack and I find myself siding with them more and more. I know it's not propaganda, President Barak Obama hates Israel. If that is really how the "activists" feel, then sooner or later there would have been a shooting match because someone would have acted out anyways.

Whatever you say, since you think I'm brainwashed when I cited a first hand source (aka the soldier). You have your own stances and I'm not even gonna touch those. I thought this conversation was long over. I dropped out because I wasn't going to put up with it and I like Komalo enough to avoid division with him.

well, i can't really say who is good or who is bad, since i am supporting one side, here's a little spot from Yahoo News but this is considered old

"At least 10 activists were killed before dawn on Monday when Israeli navy commandos stormed a Gaza-bound aid flotilla, sparking international outrage and plunging the Jewish state into a diplomatic crisis." More : [link]

And the New One :
"A defiant Israel enforced its 3-year-old blockade of Hamas-ruled Gaza on Saturday, with naval commandos swiftly commandeering a Gaza-bound aid vessel carrying an Irish Nobel laureate and other activists and forcing it to head to an Israeli port instead" More : [link]

I really have to agree with ~asilaydyingdl, but considering this and the other things Israel does to the Palestinian people, ruthless isn't a strong enough word.

While I generally support Israel and believe they should be a free people with their own land to govern, I believe this action was brutal and ruthless. Sounds to me like a hate crime more than self defense and that the troops let their emotions control them, not their heads. It was supposed to be a blockade, not a massacre.

This behaviour ís absolutely inacceptable and makes me very angry. No democratic country on this world would do something like this. It breakes all international rules.
