This is not a Border Skin version, it is just a test to see if the new window moving is working for the all computers or not, from now on, "Maximum Speed" is removed, the border doesn't lose the window in moving, with "FullBlur" or with out it (but of course "FullBlur" has a slower performance in general), in a very smooth way, no more glitching of "Maximum Speed" option, no more border dis attaching when the window is moving, also this build is a test project for me, i took it externally from 0.2.4 along time ago and tested one it, so it won't have any fix, I REPEAT IT ISNOT A FULL FIXED VERSION, it is just to show and test the new windows moving which will be with the newer test builds of 0.2.4

wow, you've done it. Setting all the bugs aside, the moving of windows has improved and is quite usable. I wanted to report all the little bugs but because you said you'll be merging just the move related code, I'll wait to see how it integrates with v.0.2.4's test build.

This is a great improvement komalo, even the jumpiness seems to have disappeared, at least completely on this test machine ^^

and finally, the jumpiness disappeared (i know that there's a little jump happens to the top, you may not notice it because it happen for only one pixel but it is nothing to be worry about ;)), but i am so happy to hear that (i was so worried because i wanted to be sure about you and bogas for the window jumpiness), i am rebuilding some things in the blurring code that i think with this new moving will increase speed very much in the normal and FullBlur, i am sure it will have a great affect in the moving ;), anyway thanks for the feedback, you really erased my worries :yum: :)

Hi Komalo,

I've been able to test this build on 2 more computers. (a dell laptop and an HP desktop, both running WinXP Sp3.) The moving is fairly smooth, like my first test machine, however, there is one slight issue: When a Border Skin window border is first left clicked (to begin moving,) the window drops about 5 pixels, then the rest of the move is without issue. So again:

1. left click (either click & hold, or single click and release)
2. The entire window shifts down about 5 or so pixels
3. Then you can continue to move the window.

The above happens with either AeroExplorer or AeroExplorer unchecked. It happens on any BorderSkin window border. It is not very distracting and can be lived with, but I thought you would like to have this reported. My 1st test machine did not do this, and it is an HP desktop as well. The HP Desktop which does have this issue does not have any customization apps installed except YzShadow, but I exited the app before running BS. Also, both machines which have this issue have LogMeIn & AVG Free Antivirus installed, that is the only commonality that I can think of.

hehe, actually i have a bad news that it may come back because i changed the moving and sizing methods to fix the wrong painting of the window, now it is much stable, but i hope that the jumpiness won't come back with it

Verdict of so many posts , Bugs are there , but one thing is there , after one or two more versions , Stardock and Windows will call you :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D LOL

i mean , truly , ur work is something like real aero (Windows Seven's Aero on my system was just bit more faster than BS Window Moving Test Build), i think if u add some more speed and fix all the bugs , Ppl will forget WB surely!

LOL , sorry for so many posts but i just experienced another big bug

i.e BS and minimized applications (minimized before running BS) have some conflicts and it wont maximize on click , on the other hand u need to right click and restore it , and on Maximizing a window(app's or Explorer's) , something wrong happens and Frame detaches from the window and something like this [link] appears

Awesome !!! Very close to Aero's behaviour , it does have some slow ups ,but then it was with Full Blur , without that it is close to Window Blinds!!

Few more fixes and this build is ready then!

thanks for all the bugs videos you posted, but you will find more and more bugs,as i said this project is my test project, i take a copy and test on it until i get my wanted result then i get only the code that i made without the full buggy, so you can say that this a fully buggy version :yum: :)

No! I posted the videos just to help u to know what all bugs are there and to help u to eliminate them :)

I never said that "This is not stable , buggy , i dont like it" The objective was just to help u out in knowing what all bugs are present... :)

i know, i am the one who is saying it is buggy, because i know that it has more problems that i even don't know, but i wanted to test this new try, before i put it in the test build, so that i had to put the test version, but your video bugs is very helpful, but i just wanted to know when you move the window fast and it gets creepy, does it always happen or when you move it out the screen ?

I don`t know why but this version makes my pc unusable. The boarders appear in the center of the screen and the content of the window in the left up corner. There is no connection between them. No errormessages but will not work.

what ?, is this on maximized window or normal window ? because the maximizing in this version isn't correctly working, so it will appear in the left corner of the screen and also is cut

You are right. This happens when i try to maximize the window. Otherwise it works fine for me.

I think it is better (faster). When i shake the window, the borders follow much faster. I have to shake very fast til it looses contact for a part of a second.

Blur is definitely better, and, at least for me, it runs smoother, and I noticed the windows stick together a lot better.

Loving it. :D

The blur is definately better. However, it proved a little more laggy.
When blur was disabled, the border appeared to 'double-up', as in, it would have a border with '4096' or whatever on it, with the directory written behind it.
