Wait...So your god abandons you, or doesn't even make it's existence apparent......So you just stick with it?

That's like not wanting your girlfriend to have broken up with you, so you pretend you're still together.

ah thanks for your comment, man. but its mean the opposite, that actually Lord Jesus love towards us never change, when He call us His son, it never change, only us as His children sometimes has doubts about it, thats why i need to be reminded that i am still His son. praise the Lord, for it.
and no, when i make this, my conditions is also the opposite of your thought, man, im so secure in His hand, thats why i really feel the need to share my secureness with the other brothers and sisters

God bless you, vilegaramonde

its trust, even if things don't go your way, you trust god and his intentions despite your situation.

So if my girlfriend leaves me, I can trust that she actually wants me?

See, the way trust is supposed to work is you can take chances on someone who doesn't screw you over.
Cherry picking good things and attributing them to a non-existent figure in order to have an excuse when things go wrong isn't helpful, it's delusional.

Yeah, my step dad beat my mom pretty bad last night, but I *trust* that he won't do it again.

God never leaves us. Sometimes when we ask Him for something, the answer is not what we want. Sometimes we feel like there is no answer, but it doesn't mean He isn't there or doesn't care. You can't let your circumstances define you or determine your relationships.

God is not an abusive father. Yes, kids getting cancer and other tragic things leave every Christian with questions. But if you read the bible, particularly the new testament, it says over and over again that God wants us to have joy and love and full lives. God is love, and if we actually dropped all of our attachments to darkness and sin and lived the way He wants us to, our lives would be better.

But most of us don't, and God doesn't promise a perfect life in this world. He promises eternal life in His presence if we believe in Him and the sacrifice of His son Jesus. In this life, we have choice and sin and all the corruption of relationships and nature that come with it. We also have God, and He is there for us, but life is still hard.

If your girlfriend is out of town and your life falls apart, and you call her for support and she doesn't answer, it doesn't mean she doesn't love you. She still exists, she still loves, and she wants your circumstances to improve.

Your god can't be an abusive father because it doesn't exist.

It's an excuse for why things go wrong and justification for the wrongs you do.

i did my best to privide a reasoned argument against the inaccurate analogies you used in your comments from a christian pespective, but if you're not interested in an open conversation based on logic and truth, i don't know what to say.

if you're ever interested in an open conversation about faith and God, hit me up, but i don't have any desire to push it on you.

i hope that you find joy, and a place of peace.

I can see that. And I can see you taking the high road and not being nasty about even my hard line ideology.

I would insist that any religious argument cannot be based on logic and truth because religion is, by it's nature, illogical and dishonest.

This isn't to say that religious people are bad or that good things don't come from it, but I believe it causes more problems than it solves.

My issue isn't a question of whether or not your god is good or great, but rather a statement that the religious problem solving model is inherently flawed.

You cannot prove or even substantiate the idea that your god exists, and especially not in a way that is more directly related to something else.
And when belief fails to stumble onto a positive outcome and the system clearly isn't working, religion teaches you to just blindly believe harder until the next time you can pretend something good happened because of your belief.

As a counter to Christian dogma, I assert that *I* am actually the true god and all good is done and planned by me.
I am infinite and omnipotent, and you can't prove otherwise in a way that I won't just shrug off.
Every accomplishment ever made by you or anyone was actually just me working through you.

Now praise me.

Many things within the bible, many rules for living a christian life and many others for treating others well are in fact based on common sense and therefore are logic AND truth.
Also when it comes to god existense, thats simple the earth itself is proof of his existense, every other planet is dead and lifeless, ours not only manages to be the perfect distance from
the sun to have life, it has different seasons, plenty of water and an overabundance of life. There is NO way that that is random, someone,(god) had to have made all that.
and no, we don't 'blindly' follow god, he wants use to know more and to understand his plans, even if we don't fully know, he reveals more to us in time.

The Lord gives, and The Lord takes away.
May the name of The Lord be praised.

Much needed reminder that all who are in Christ are more blessed than can be imagined, come what may.
