Hi there!  I come from :iconprojectcomment: with the tag word "freedom".  I chose this piece of yours because it portrays a character in flight, which to me expresses freedom.

I like that the girl is expressing a triumphant pose with a cheerful face.  It makes me happy for her.  You seem to be pretty advanced in anatomy looking from your gallery so your basic proportions and rendering of the limbs tend to look pretty believable from the get go. You also have crisp and clean lines with a good balance of details and clarity, which is a plus.  Keep it up! :)

However, the pose of the girl feels a bit too unnatural.  Her hips are a bit too bent for this kind of punch, it feels like they're going to break instead.  I would say just lessen the bend overall.  Another thing is that when the arm is raised to punch, the pecs (or in your case, her left breast) should be a bit raised up instead of staying in line with the other one since the muscle tissues are connected to the arm. See these for examples:… and comicbooksnapshots.files.wordp……    Notice how the pec for the side with the raised arm is also being pulled upwards.  Her fist could also be more tucked in to show more of the power of the punch.  Try punching upwards and notice how the fist is a bit more curved inside instead of straight.

Hope this helped! :)

Hey! Thanks for leaving a comment!

I see what you mean now that you pointed it out. I could've done a bit more, but that's why we learn. And I took a look at the examples you showed me! Thanks for that. I can see that the chest should be lifted in the angle where the arm reaches up. I'll keep this in mind next time! I don't know why, but I tend to draw women with bigger hips and thighs, so I like to emphasize on it. However, I can see what you mean by it looking a bit off.

This helped tremendously! Thank you!

I think your current hip and thigh size is fine, it's just the angle that the hips are tilted at an angle that makes it unnatural. Like if one person were to perform the same punching motion, I imagine that it would look more along the lines of this:…  Look at how the force is more concentrated on the upper body and the hips are not jutting out as much.

Ah, I see! Thanks for providing the image! I can see where I can improve on. It brings more action focusing more on the upper part, especially the arm and fist than the hip and waist area. At the same time, the legs in the image are positioned in a way that still leaves a powerful impact. Thank you!
