Hey, kids. The name's Iain Robbins. Knox Robbins would be good because people keep misspelling my Gaelic-spelt name. I draw original characters and art, as well as fan art on relevant things from time to time. I am a working industry animator in Vancouver, currently working as a 3D artist at DHX Media on an upcoming series - was previously at Rainmaker Entertainment.
Thanks a lot if you're now a follower and happy clicking.

Hey in time for my birthday yesterday I better let my DeviantArt followers know I've been busy beyond just doing artwork. Some weeks I had to put streaming off even because of crunch time weeks. I've listed before and shared on streams the fact that I am a working 3D animator but I never wrote a journal entry telling you guys about where you could find my industry work thus far.
For my first 3D animator job I was at Rainmaker for about a year and a half working on a CG revamp of Bob the Builder, and a few shots of a TV special we did towards the end (the special was released into movie theaters even in some territories, which none of us were really thinking it would happen). Another production company in Halifax later bought the production away from the studio and it's been continuing there since.
Then most of the crew on Bob, including me, moved onto "Spy Kids: Mission Critical" which we did twenty episodes within a year. Netflix will hopefully release the remaining ten soon, though they haven't been putting much enthusiasm behind it because of The Weinstein Company's backing and the heavy redtape that came from that.
Currently now! I've been working on "Mega Man: Fully Charged" since last year and it's been a fun project to work on internally. The show is already out now with about 14 individual episodes now on Cartoon Network (seven, if you combine them at two a piece.) We've been hearing reactions are fine from the show from those who've watched it, though we are well aware there's some opposition as well ha ha.
I'll detail everything on the Tumblr soon enough with episode shots and some interesting behind the scenes anecdotes.
