Yo, my name is Jay. I'm African American. I have been struggling with hairstyles that have originated out of my culture mainly dreadlock. I have been trying to find a good way to go about drawing them. I have Dreadlocks myself but when it comes down to drawing them the really don't come out looking as good as I imagine them being. I figured I would write you to see if this may be a good topic for a show. I feel that some don't think of the cultural things when designing a character for instance, darker skin characters weren't that big of a thing and when they are its usually later called a tan and the ones that are do not have the hair, clothes, etc. that is tied to the culture, but I'm not saying it has too just would be nice to see diversity. I realized its also because a lot of people don't know how to draw these things.
...the happiest of (late) birthdays to you awesome artist...hope you're having a totally rad time...=3
