First things first, I hope everyone's had a happy and healthy holiday season and a happy new year! Everything was nice on my end; though, it's been frigid here in Michigan getting below freezing levels of cold.
I'm writing this to address some things that'll affect my page. As some of the people who follow me most likely know, and are probably tired of hearing about, drawing has been a bit lackluster lately. I still like it; but, I'm shifting more to traditional mediums and generally doing it less and less. I don't really have the same drive to do it as I did before and I only end up disappointed during or after a piece. Digital art has been doing nothing but frustrate me and things like watercolor or even just pencil sketches need a bit of cleanup afterwards.
Lately, I've shifted from drawings and paintings to writing my own book and I've been enjoying the process so far. Not only do I like it, I have a ton of ideas that I'm passionate about and, if I play my cards right, can turn into a career. Like I mentioned, I'm trying to write my own book so I can decide if this is actually something I'd want to pursue or if I should simply just get a normal job like everyone else. This takes up a good chunk of my time. The past few weeks I've either been writing, doing chores, or playing Breath of the Wild (which is like Skyrim but with a lot more charm.) I've done some sketches of my pets and I might post one or two; but, there's not much coming in from that department.
Now with getting back to school, I'll have less time to do anything else and will probably spend most of my free time working on personal projects. I'm somewhat torn because I want to love drawing and uploading stuff; but, there's not a lot of incentive or reward to do so. I do have that Warriors fanfic that I started (I also have an Undertale concept that I've thought about putting down) but those tend to not do too well on here and if I'm spending time on a story, based on someone else's franchise, that no one reads then I could write my own story and not risk the copyright issues. I could and might upload sketches based on my personal projects; but, I don't know how good those would be.
If you watched me for my drawings; then, I'm sorry for the lack of content in the past and probably in the future. I'll still be on DA to watch and favorite other people, I'm just not producing art to upload and don't plan on it. If you want to unwatch me go right ahead, I totally get why and I'm not upset. Below I'll link you to some awesome artists that upload way more frequently than I do (some really deserve more attention than they get.) No need to tell them who sent you, just check out their works and see if it's for you. Thanks again to the people who've actively watched, I hope you have a great 2018.
Earthsong9405: She mainly draws My Little Pony art and AUs; but, her style's great and the way she draws wings is AMAZING. Just note that she uploads most of her sketches through status updates, not actual uploads, so be sure to have that turned on.
ARVEN92: This artist's a great traditional comic artist. As far as I know, she has two comics going right now. One is Chakra: Battle of the Titans
(which I've been meaning to read) and Africa
which is about a leopard named Africa (I am the best at summarizing, aren't I?) The colors in both are really rich and vibrant. She also has a way with effects that makes it seem digital, except that it's not.
Chiakiro: Is amazing at digital animal paintings. She's also doing pokemon paintings that nearly look real.
Cushfuddled: Another traditional comic artist. Cushfuddled is great with markers and has a Warriors comic going right now. If you're not into the books then the story's not going to do much for you; however, I think the art alone is worth it.
CyndalCreates: A cute style with a bit of creepy. Mostly does animals and has posted traditional and digital works.
Neytirix: A digital painter with beautiful colors. Posts a lot of beautiful and/or creepy works. Also posts Zootopia related artwork.
Noctualis: Another digital painter (noticing a trend with my watches?) She mostly posts paintings of animals and magical beasts.
NostalgicChills: Yet again, another digital painter. This artist posts a lot of Lion King related works as well as other franchises. Also has an amusing comic regarding the trend of bases and recolors here on DA (which is especially strong in the LK fandom.)
YinDragon: Is mostly known for her pokemon nuzlocke comic. Just note that she seemed to fall of the face of the earth. I've been waiting for the day she'd come back; but, she'd nowhere to be found.
