... ok, next time if I have to do this many backgrounds as the focus, i'm breaking it up into two comics. It's not so much a question of whether I can get them done, it's a question of willpower to get them done. And all this for a "beat" comic (aka a comic where essentially nothing happens to give a "beat" before other things happen). Bleh

Well, it gave me a chance to see what kinds of methods I draw bgs best.

Heh, I'd say the question should be, "Is the destination more important (and often more fun) than the journey?" ;)

Also, what's the light crystal thing about?

that is one of my favorite items to try to pester my ga into letting me have right from the beginning at the price of a large portion of my starting gold. It's a floating, expended ioun stone with permanent "light" spell on it.

... well, i only try to take it if I'm a tanky type char, or have an explorer background. I can't think of anything worse to have than something with a permanent lightspell on it floating around you if you need to stealth.

Lol, that's an awesome idea. Useful as hell, but not valuable or op as the other ioun stones, so less likely to be stolen. XD

yeah, and negligible weight, the best part of it. Instead of 15 torches (that you always inevitably try to throw to catch things on fire), you have a weightless light source that doesn't need fuel or ignition
